[Resolved]  Pengu — Delivery delayed without intimation + Other Red Flags

It is unfortunate that I have to complain here, but it seems all the bad reviews we read about this company are after all accurate. The only problem is that we read those reviews AFTER placing our order. We were promised 29-05-22 as the dispatch date. Today, after not having received an update, we suspected our worst fears coming true -- and, as expected, they sent a chat reply saying the product will be shipped b/w 8 to 10 June. Of course, if you call them, there is no response. They don't reply to emails. Their website does not mention any founders or employees. Their social media hasn't been updated in months. They have only two employees listed on LinkedIn, and zero activity on the platform. All red flags that we should have considered before trusting a newbie. Their only claim to fame: a paid article on Deccan Herald. This is our second sour experience after trying to trust support a budding small business. Never again. Now the chase begins to get the order cancelled and get a refund. Lesson learnt: A goodlooking website and a so-called factory in Goa do not mean a professional or even legitimate business. Next, I'm going to get a lawyer.

Received a call from the company today stating the reason for delay. Advised them that it is good practice to inform of such delays beforehand, especially when they are new and need to build trust. Though we need it urgently, a shoe rack is not an essential product and so we probably would have agreed to the wait time anyway. The issue is resolved and will hopefully remain so.

You seems lucky getting reply from Company, i am still waiting for response, i placed my order on 2nd Apr'22. Reading all this seems fraud sometimes and its really painful supporting local business to grow and seeing them behaving so unprofessional. Hope they get brain someday

And you're right, they really need to have a robust customer service system in place if they don't intend to go bust soon.
