I ordered a bed and applied the 'DIWALI' coupon code for a 25% cashback to the pepperfry wallet as mentioned in the promo. After paying Rs.39000 the company credited 9420 cashback points, which the company claims in its app to be equivalent to 9420 rupees. But now when I try to buy another item and use the cashback, the company doesn't let me use more than 30% of the cashback amount and the cashback amount expires in 7 days, which was mentioned nowhere.
As I try to cancel my ordered bed to get out of this shady spiralling cashback scam, the company says it will charge me 2.5 of the order value as a cancellation fee. I'm cancelling less than one hour after placing the order and the order is for delivering a kingsize bed, not a pizza that you levy a cancellation charge as high as Rs.975 in my case for cancelling within an hour.
This is very misleading and dishonest. I should be allowed to cancel my order and get full refund.
