I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding the online course provided by Planetspark (https://www.planetspark.in). I enrolled both of my children in the course based on the information and assurances provided by your counsellor, Ms. Rwitikka Mishra. However, the course has turned out to be misleading, and the information provided to me has proven to be inaccurate and fraudulent.
Background:
During the initial counselling session, Ms. Mishra presented a curriculum that did not match the actual course content. She assured me that there were no restrictions on the number of classes, and that the entire curriculum (16 modules for the elder child) would be completed within 12-15 months, based on my children's pace. She also informed me that the course would be curriculum-based and not restricted by the number of classes. Additionally, she mentioned that class timings could be adjusted to fit my preferences.
She assured me that I could cancel the course within one month for a refund, but the current situation has left me extremely dissatisfied.
I have repeatedly requesting the full curriculum by mail, Ms. Mishra insisted to verify the link so that I will get total information. After verifying the link, it revealed following discrepancies.
1. Only One Login Provided: Despite the assurance of separate logins for each child, I was only provided with a single login.
2. Incomplete Curriculum: Upon reviewing the course content via the link provided, I discovered that only 48 classes are available on the platform. Of these, only one module is fully covered, and two other modules are partially covered. This is a major discrepancy from the 16-module curriculum that was originally promised.
3. Unsuitable Timings: The class timings provided are completely unsuitable for my children. The available slots (4 AM - 5 AM or 10 PM - 11 PM) are neither practical nor feasible for my children.
After raising these concerns, I lost trust on the company and requested to cancel and asked for refund of the amount paid by me. Then, I received a call from Mr. Nikhil Garg, who stated that the commitments made by Ms. Mishra were incorrect. He mentioned that a detailed investigation had been conducted based on recorded sessions, and as a result, Ms. Mishra had been terminated, with her last working day being 31.12.2024.
Despite my requests for cancellation, I continued to receive responses from Planetspark stating that "we are unable to proceed with your request as the reason mentioned does not meet the criteria for cancellation." This response is concerning and indicates a lack of transparency in their processes. Reputable online education providers typically offer full refunds if cancellation requests are made within a reasonable period (15-30 days from payment).
Additionally, Ms. Mishra suggested that I attend at least one class to justify my refund request. Later, I learned that her claim of being terminated was false, as she is still employed by the company. This situation, along with multiple similar complaints I have seen on consumer portals, leads me to believe that this is a common tactic employed by Planetspark to mislead parents and extract payments under false pretences. I believe this practice is a form of fraud and is being perpetrated by the company. They also didn't have any call center except mail facility. Now Rwitikka Mishra did not lifting any call. We donot have any option except compliant here.
Request for Action:
Given the above points, I kindly request that you look into this matter and investigate the actions of the company Planetspark. I also request to arrange a full refund of the amount paid, as my children have not attended any classes. I urge you to take this complaint seriously and initiate suitable action against the company, to address these fraudulent practices and prevent other parents from being misled.
