I am writing to lodge a complaint concerning a recent call I received on February 19, 2024, purportedly from a representative of Axis Bank's service department. The caller claimed I qualified for a combo package due to my punctual credit card payments.
During the conversation, the representative detailed the benefits of the package, which included:
1. A leather wallet and belt
2. A discount card for various outlets
3. A health checkup voucher
4. Two domestic holiday vouchers
5. A food cashback/reimbursement voucher
Following the discussion of these perks, the representative provided a PayU link, which I proceeded to click on, leading me to a payment gateway. Subsequently, I made a one-time payment of Rs 8990 for the combo package using my credit card to Ace Marketing Solutions (they've changed their name).
The representative assured me that the payment would be converted into 0-cost EMIs and requested my personal information, including name, mobile number, address, and email ID. Additionally, they provided two contact numbers for a helpline and WhatsApp.
I was informed that the combo package kit would be dispatched to me within a few days.
Upon conducting further research online, I uncovered that this was a fraudulent scheme. I am seeking a refund of the Rs 8990 that I paid.
I am deeply disappointed and frustrated by this ordeal, and I urge you to take prompt action to address this matter. Kindly conduct a thorough investigation into this incident and expedite the processing of my refund.
