I am writing to file a complaint regarding a recent call I received on April 18, 2023, from someone claiming to be a representative of Axis Bank's service department. The individual informed me that I was eligible for a combo package due to my timely credit card payments.
During the call, the representative outlined the package's benefits, which included
1) A leather wallet and belt,
2) A discount card for outlets,
3) A health checkup voucher,
4) Two domestic holiday vouchers, and
5) A food cashback/reimbursement voucher.
After hearing about these benefits, the representative sent me a Freecharge link, which I clicked on, and I was taken to the payment gateway of Axis Bank. Unfortunately, the payment was unsuccessful a few times, and the representative eventually sent a link from Easebuzz, through which I paid Rs 8990 as a one-time charge for the combo package on my credit card.
The representative assured me that the payment would be converted to 0-cost EMIs and took my personal information, including my name, mobile number, address, and email ID. They also provided two contact numbers: [protected] and[protected].
They said that the combo package kit would be sent to me within a few days.
After doing some research online, I discovered that this was a fraudulent activity. I do not wish to keep the combo package and would like a refund of the Rs 8990 that I paid.
I am extremely disappointed and frustrated by this experience, and I hope that you will take immediate action to resolve this issue. I would appreciate it if you could investigate this matter thoroughly and process my refund as soon as possible.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
