I applied online for the policy on 24April 2015, and initiated the cancellation of my policy by email on 29th april because i came to know that the agent has lied to me. I followed the protocol of cancellation - following up from the agent/customer care - insurer grieviance cell - GRO but no one replied to me except the automatic emails, and none has taken any steps to help me get my money back. Moreover, after lot of days the pnb grieviance cell replies to me with my email edited wrongly and its history removed. I wonder if these guys can give a headache when the person is alive then I wonder how easy would it be for the family to get money from these people, in case of any unfortunate incident ? Dear Metlife team,
I have initiated my cancellation before 30th April. I need my REFUND.
Your representative is trying to dilly-delay the refund and making me move in circles.
If such simple things are so difficult for your team to understand, when the policy holder is alive, I wonder, how much trouble would a claim settlement be ?

You can drop an email for better communication. Verbal communicate wont help. Also, send a signed complaint copy our the Registered post and make a photocopy for future use in such a situation. If fail so you can register a civil complaints and as per IRDA insurance policy the contract for cancellation free exit period vary from policy to policy. Don't believe and depends on an Agent verbal communication. If failed to send any communication they will get more revenue too. Please read terms and condition carefully.
