Hello, I engaged with the policybazaar team regarding my policies. For one particular policy, despite my repeated requests to delay the process, the policybazaar team hurriedly initiated my payment to achieve their sales goals. Ultimately, the policy was canceled, and a refund was issued to my original payment method, which was my bank via credit card. After the refund was processed, the representatives from policybazaar did not inform me that I needed to return to the bank to stop the payment process following the refund. Due to the lack of communication, I faced deductions exceeding 1.8 lac rupees over 18 months(including principal amount, GST, and interest). When this was brought to notice, initially, the policybazaar team agreed to refund my amount verbally, but now they claim it is a matter between me and my bank, stating that their generic 'refund processed' email contains details that originally lack mention the necessity for the customer to contact the bank to halt the payment. I feel gaslighted by their team leads and representatives, who now assert that the email contains sufficient information and things not clearly mentioned should be taken as an assumption.
I seek justice regarding my refund, which should include the principal amount, GST and interest I paid. Was this information helpful? |
