My daughter is studying in Pon vidyashram school Kolapakkam,Porur. The construction and the infrastructure is very poor and worst, already many things has been escalated to management, but they did only few. All the class rooms walls and ceilings are having cracks. Specifically 3rd floors walls are having more cracks (not like a usual air crack, its very major one) , really i am afraid and i am planning to change my kid next year to PSBB Gerugambakkam. But as a parents we have to treat this as the major one and needs to escalate it to right parents. We have to join our hands together to get right solution. If anyone agrees with me. pl. reply....and if any one having experience with PSSB Gerugambakkam. Pl. share that will help us to take right decision.
I strongly support u. We have also observed the construction work is going on in the second floor of the school building in working days while KG classes are paralally running in the ground floor without any safety measure. I myself afraid of construction materials falling in front of PRE KG class room from second floor. This PON VIDYASHRAM school is business minded and they do BLACK MONEY making, they don't even bothered to make a compound wall but they went for constructing additional class room just for making money out of additional class rooms for fresh admissions.
One of worst infra structured school in Chennai. The buildings are similar to the 11 floor building collapsed at Mowlivakkam. Building structures are so worst. The collected fees only by way of cash. No cheque's or DD's or bank payments are not accepted by this school. The collect more than the government fixed fees. For fee paid they don't give any receipt. They only give a card stating full payment received with out mentioning the amount. By doing this they only making BLACK MONEY. My two daughter's are studying in this School.I have paid for 7th std. Rs.34450/- & for UKG Rs.29550/- the above amounts are excluding books. They do not have experienced teachers. Most of the teachers are parents paid nominal amount.Buildings have started cracking. We are scared what will happen during the rainy season.adjacent to the school main gate there is TASMAC liquor bar operating for the full day. Even the school management is least bothered about this. I addition to the above for books fee for 7th Std. Rs.4800/- & UKG Rs.2200/- is being collected by the school and for that also no receipt is being given. The books values are only 50% of the above.Students are being given project works irrelevant the subject and tortured for immediate completion.

Dear Parents of Pon Vidyashram, Kolapakkam

Please decide today [now], Its high time to decide. I strongly agree with the above complaints. If our children continue in this school further we will be loosing our money as well as our children's future. This school will never improve because they are only thinking about the money not the quality of the education after the demise of Sir Dhamodharan.Hat's off to Sir Dhamodharan's service to the quality of education. Please note this vijaya dhasami also they have fixed Rs. 1, 25, 000/- for LKG admission.
Hi All,
I have admitted my Kid in Pre KG in Pon vidayashram, Kolappakam last year and paid the donation amount of 60 K.
Due to personal reason, I couldn't send my kid to school. So admitted in a play school and has informed the school officials that I will admit in LKG after a year. now when I have approached for LKG admission, the management is demanding me to pay 70 K, the entire donation amount. last year they gave receipt only for 15 k and this year they are not giving even that.
These people are doing day light robbery and are covering them up in the name of providing education.
what ethics they can teach our kids when they themselves are so highly unethical.
any parents who want to join hands with me to lodge complaint on this school, please message here. We will try to connect offline.
I strongly agree with you. For the past one year I don't receive any messages regarding the school. No parents- teacher communication. I complained more than 5 times, even went straight to the manager but no response. Poor management. Going to change school this year. Even when school announces leave all of a sudden, I would not receive messages and will be waiting for van.frustrating.
I agree my 2 kids are studying in this school. No proper infrastructure and particularly 2nd & 3rd floor construction was partially done and even now the plastering was not completed out side and it appears with a bricks and only inner plastering has been completed and still running the school.

The charge fees like 53 K for Prekg but they are only giving receipt for 43 K and it seems to be they are making black money and cheating the government. When the management itself cheating the society and government we cannot expect them teach the ethical things to the students.

I am planning to remove my kids and finding out some better school.Again the teachers are very inexperienced and they are not even qualified. Please suggest me some better school in Koallpakam area.

1. Two parents talking .one parent has come from Middle east and looking to put his son in a good school.Which school to choose from .Without batting an eyelid the other parent says loud and clear --ONLY ONE SCHOOL -PON VIDYASHRAM .

2 Pon Vidyashram gives a sum total of what is needed for any child -so the only choice

3 You want education, values, safety holistic development --only one stop and that is Pon Vidyashram

4 Freedom to do what is right, learning environment congenial atmosphere and learning with fun -The parent choice is only one and that is Pon Vidyasharm

5 Character building, moulding the children and a great plalce to be in for any child is Pon Vidyasharm
They are not running school, they are running charity.
Worst management (Only Money minded)
No bothering about kids, because they are not given any value to the teachers, so no quality teachers will work there.
They do not a good competency sprit.
No Proper infrastructure.
The management people doesn't bothering any teachers value.
All management have some slogan to tell only negatives.
Management does not have positive approach to any one, they always de motivate the students and staffs.
they are no more in the race with other organization in this area.
Over all near govt. schools are doing great than this school
Management is purely trying to collect the money and there is no infrastructure in school
Quality of education is not update the mark
very poor administration.
do not spoil your child's education by spending the value instead we can get good education with other grader school
School admin is sucking the money from parents, even they do not bother about the children futures.
They are collecting money and not even giving the receipts for donation amount which are directly going to black money account.

    Hi to all parents,

I am Rakesk & i have approached Pon vidyashram, madipakkam, chennai with authorities for my doughter's admission for UKG class. Initially they conducted test for the child by taking Rs. 200/- towards application fees. Later they asked to pay admission fee as details below.

Admission Fees : Rs. 43,475/-(which includes one year teaching fees, school development charge................... etc
    uniform & books Fee : Rs. 3,500.00
school van Fee: Rs. 1,500.00 p/m

I requested them to issue receipt / bill for the above fee paid and the authorities replied that they have

rights to issue a bill only for Rs- 3500/-(even though after paying 43,475/-), that too not now later when

school re-opens + we may give you the bill or not you can meet our office staff once school re-opens &

this is common in all schools and If you question more on these, we'll cancel your child admission and

we'll not refund even a single paise.

The clerk madam (Fee collecting woman) having a small 200 pages note book containg all the fee paid

details. Once a person pay fee, she will note the amount detials in the note book.

Dear govt. authorities/Human rights officials, please have a look into the schools like these and kindly

take necessary action against the blood-sucking school management.

(If any body wants there child to get admit in Pon vidyashram, you can enjoy the same experience as above.)

    Regards,
    Rakesh

Re: Cancellation of admission for J Shriya, in Standard I, for 2010. (Regn No: 12525)

I had taken an admission for my daughter Jonnalagadda Shriya for Standard I, in January 2010, in your esteemed institution. In lieu of that I have already paid the entire fees of Rs. 43,410/-, on 12-Jan-2010, vide HSBC cheque no. 002258 .

At the time of admission, I had just moved to Chennai on a transfer from Visakhapatnam, and the plan was to relocate my family to Chennai. However, over the past few months due to some unforeseen developments, I was not in a position to bring my family and daughter to Chennai. Hence I requested them to cancel the admission and refund the money paid.

The school refused to entertain my request. I complained about this to the Ministry of Education, Dr. Purandeshwari's office. An IAS officer Mr. Kamal Vardhan called me up after receiving the complaint and informed me that he had spoken to the school authorities and the issue would be resolved. After that I called the school authorities multiple times, and despite that they have not refunded my money.

THis is a blatant violation of the consumer laws of the country, by a School that is rated as one of the best in the country. They seem to have no regard to Ministry of Education even.

WOuld request some good soul to take up this case and deliver justice to me. From April 2010, I am literally running from pillar to post to get some justice on this case.
