I am writing to formally document and escalate one of the most disappointing and frustrating experiences my family and I have encountered through your service. Unfortunately, Porter has proven to be highly unprofessional and unreliable compared to the standards set by other major service providers in the market.
Here’s a summary of the ordeal we faced:
1. On[protected], I received a confirmation call from your partner named Rahul, verifying all details, including pickup timing, addresses, and the list of items.
2. On[protected]shifting day), at 10:45 AM, Rahul informed me he was traveling via local train and that the pickup truck would arrive separately.
3. The workers arrived at 12:35 PM, within the scheduled window, but without the vehicle, which was still pending.
4. My wife and I had pre-arranged all items for smooth pickup, yet no support arrived timely.
5. Throughout the day, there was no proactive communication from Porter to check the ground status or ensure customer satisfaction.
6. I repeatedly asked Rahul when the pickup truck would arrive, only to be assured falsely each time that it was "don’t worry, it is on the way."
7. Despite pre-requesting a technician for AC removal (included in the service), none was provided. I had to arrange a private technician myself at an additional cost of ₹800.
8. I contacted Porter Support (Hari Om) around 1:10 PM after the scheduled pickup time, but the conversation led nowhere. Your support team failed to take any decisive action.
9. The continuous false promises by your partner and the lack of effective support from Porter caused tremendous frustration and disappointment among my family members.
10. We had arranged an ambulance for my bedridden mother to be shifted after the move, but because of the delay, this could not happen, forcing me to cancel her transfer.
11. My 2-year-old daughter had to stay with neighbors at Nallasopara the entire day (from 8:30 AM to 10:35 PM), causing distress and embarrassment in front of family, neighbors, and colleagues.
12. I was supposed to report to work at 4:00 PM, but due to this chaos, I was unable to do so.
13. I made multiple calls demanding that Porter take responsibility for the 8-hour delay and ensure compensation, but your support team remained ineffective.
14. The truck finally arrived at 6:50 PM, I repeat at 6.50 PM in the evening, and the items were delivered only by 10:25 PM — a full day's delay.
15. Upon unloading, I informed the partner that no payment would be made due to this gross negligence and suffering caused.
16. Despite this, the partner's team refused to leave the premises and even threatened to create a disturbance at night.
17. The partner also threatened to file a police complaint against me, while Porter remained completely unreachable during late hours.
18. Under pressure, I reluctantly paid ₹3, 000 out of the ₹6, 470 total amount late at night to avoid further trouble.
19. Even after 55 minutes of waiting, the partner continued to demand the remaining amount, stating that Porter would not compensate him and that he was a private laborer. I then paid the rest of the amount as well to the partner.
Given the severe mental stress, inconvenience, embarrassment, and financial burden caused by your company's pathetic handling of my order, I demand a full refund of ₹6, 470 immediately.
If a resolution is not provided at the earliest, I will not hesitate to escalate this matter to the Consumer Forum, along with sharing my experience across public review platforms to warn other potential customers.
I hope for an urgent and serious response to this grievance.
