ON DT.15/03/2007, I HAD THE CONSIGNMENT COPY OF DELIVERY AND AROUND 50 MAILS COPY WITH ME AFTER THAT ALSO I HAVENT RECEIVED MY PAYMENT.

NO BODY IS THERE TO GET SLOVE MY PROBLEM, THIS MEANS COMPANY IS ONLY FOR SALE NOT FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE., MAKINF FRAUD WITH CUSTOMERS, I AM VERY UPSET, AND THE LIMIT IS BEING CROSSED, I AM GOING TO FILE A CASE IN CONSUMER COURT WITH ALL THE DOCUMENTS AND I THINK THAT'S IS ENPOUGH FOR ME .

IF WILL WAIT FOR A WEEK FOR REPLY , AFTER THAT COMPANY WOULD HAVE TO BEAR THE RESULT

To my great misfortune, I happened to receive an email from Readers Digest for their subscription at reduced rate/special offer. Being an unlucky, I joined in the subscription. After a long time time they started to send RD magazine on a regular basis. Then they sent me regularly Sweepstakes Offer saying I have been selected by their computer among a few people from Kerala. They exaggeratedly explained in their every letter that 30 Lakhs and Prize Vehicle will soon arrive to me if I am entitled in the lucky draw. Then they started to send tons of promotional postal mails encouraging and tempting me to purchase their "world famous"!!!! books to qualify to participate in their Sweepstakes Program. To my love for reading, I purchased their book "How to Write and Speak Better" on 3 installments. I paid two installments, but they says only one. Now they send regular mails demanding me to pay full amount and warned me that they will go for further action if the money not paid. I paid all money by postal money order and received acknowledgment after several months, like it arrived from USA or the opposite side of earth. It seems their account department do not care for ordinary money order. Now I am in total trouble with these Guys. Please do not participate or join in any of their programs like sweepstakes. Their ultimate aim is to sell their books and not about our concern or benefit. They will send books and will demand money not even dreamed by you!!!.

I am one of participant in the READERS DIGEST SWEEPSTAKES
2010. Kindly advice where I can view the results. It was supposed to be declared in Jan 2010, but till date i have not seen the results anywhere.Please can you lodge a complaint against them.

Dear Sir,

I reecd. a mail from Reader's Digest Magazine to apply for one year subscription
& get 3 free surprise gifts& in addition to this i would be elligible for 1 crore
sweepstakes. I applied for one year subscription through credit card, got my
first issue but hv not reecd any gift from them. I tried to lodge a complaint on
their site but its also not correct. Plz look into this matter.

I am residing in ranchi. I regret to inform you that Reader's Digest BHE (I) Pvt Ltd is sending me books without my order. They has sent me earlier the books and i made payment. Now again they have send me the book and asked me to pay Rs.699/- under P.Code[protected] & Account no.[protected].

I request you to please help me out in this regard.

I dont mind receiving the books. But the books which i dont order or not asked for whey they are sending.

Eagerly waiting for your help. and request you to direct company not to do so in future

I the customer of RD, am experiencing immense grief to bring it to your notice that i have been duped by RD .

The India Today group has my knowledge goes is renowned for over many years now.
Iam sure you realise that a foul word of mouth by its customer can leave a deep scar or a black mark on its reputation built over the years. This unfortunate morning[protected] at 11:30 A.M. a packet has been delivered to my residence with the name Sub:Regd.V.P.P. packet (for Rs 449 only)SRT Nagar on it from RD.

I regret to say it was delivered to my residence in my absence.My family unaware of what it was asked the delivery man a sbout it.He in turn collected Rs.472 saying that "she is supposed to pay him to collect the VPP, for the order placed by me".(which obviously i haven't).

I would like to know from you why you want to dupe me in this way.I hereby bring it your attention that i have not placed any order as such for any printed book what so ever with you.So i will not tolerate any such inconvenience caused by you.Like i said i am reputed customer of RD who has enjoyed reading its past issues but hereafter i would regret the inconvenience caused by RD to me.Strangely i find no reason why i should subscribe to RD in future.
I have been deeply hurt by the inconvenience caused.Your kind jesture to return my hard earned money will do me a favour & gain my confidence in RD.
My wife has paid the delivery man Rs 472 under the impression that i have actually placed this order, on the basis of what the delivery man said.After the delivery man left, she has opened the package to see what was in it.Alas!, she found a printed book in it (which is of no worth to us) and which was unordered.Moreover on the innercover of the book it says, "NOT FOR SALE, A FREE COPY ISSUED TO RD CUSTOMERS" I regret to say I AM ONE.
So i hereby request you to make arrangements to take this unsolicited VPP (unordered book)back and pay back the amount of Rs472 to the address mentioned as below.

A week has already gone by after i'v sent a complaint via email to and i'v had no response from you.You are only continuing to add to my agony.

I believe it is your utmost priority to take back this unordred parcel and let me get my hard earned money back.

I have got letter from Reader's Digest it includes you be selected as Rupees Twenty Six Lakhs Super Grand Prize Winner and your name was one of those finalist nominee and they will send Pink Entry tickets and Car Flyer.I got a secret car key number and if the number is correct you will get car worth of 15 lakh and my key number is correct.They tell me don't make long time to send the Yes Envelop reply as soon as possible they give the time to send the reply with their 14-day deadline. I send the reply next day, but still I never get a reply from Reader's Digest. I expect that you will take this matter very seriously.

I was notified that I had 3 free gifts waiting for me. All I had to do to claim the gifts was to go to www.readersdigest.com/3free. I can't get anything using that e-address other than a group of other complaintents. Since Readers Digest notified my by sending a card within the magazine itself, they obviously have my mailing address. I have attempted to claim the prizes as instructed. Now, I want them...whatever they are.

My current RD subscription # isRDA[protected]/9, good until Aug 11, 2010. I received a direct mail cardtoday saying "3 FREE GIFTS are waiting for you! Claim them today at www.readersdigest.com/3free. Went to the website, no offer. Called customer care. Got no help because they said they are "only customer care for subscriptions" and did not have access to the computer offer. I did find numerous complaints from other subscribers. What's the story on this offer?

I recieved a year subscription as a X-mas gift. With my Feb. 2010 I got a card with special thanks! and I could claim my 3 free gifts at www.readersdigest.com/3free. All that was found at this site were dozens of complaints, nothing to sign up or register for. I also am very sadden that this problem seems to be ongoing for months and has not been corrected by Reader's Digest.

On information from Readers Digest I ask for the 3 free gifts they offered on "www.readersdigest.com/free" which was suppposed to be a Thank you from Readers Digest. It said to claim them at: www.readersdigest.com/3free. I did that and have the grift card at my home that says to claim then at www.readersdigest.com/3free. As to date I have not heard or received anything from Readers Digest.

What do I need to do...

I recently received a mail from Reader's Digest claiming me to be a chance of being a winner of cash prize,a corrola car and 3 surprise gifts.The only condition was that i had to subscribe for the magazine.The offer was associated with SBI cards.So i send all my details with my credit card number agreeing to accept theoffer and letting them charge a sum of Rs.495 as a cost of subscription for the magazine. But i have received no response from the latter neither i have received any of the magazines.So sir i request you to tell me in detail regarding this offer that it is true or a fake one,well in time.And if true also inform that when are the results for this sweepstakes offer are going to be declared and when i will receive the magazine subscription.Please mail me as soon as possible.

How do I get my 3 free gifts?

I am receiving lot of letters regarding sweepstakes from Readers digest india.

I am one of thier customer for the past few years.

I don't know why these people are creating tension by sending these type of letters which they offer as I am qualified for the final round of sweepstakes programme. But even now I had'nt receive any money from them in this regard.

Hence I am strongly suspecting this as a fraud.

Please provide the valuable information about their genuiness of this sweepstakes programme to this email address : [protected]@hotmail.com

I had cancelled the gift subscription, which I had ordered on October 2, 2009 and sent a cheque no. 790050 dated 10.10.2009 of Bank of India for Rs. 469.00 to renew my regular subscription on October 10, 2009.

I wish to inform you now that I have received neither the receipt for the cheque nor the issues of October, November and December, 2009. I have also not received the gifts promised to me on the renewal of my subscription.

I request you, therefore, to kindly look into the matter and rush me the copies of the issues mentioned, at your earliest.

I have been a subscriber for a few years and I have not renewed my subscription recently. I recently got a VPP from Delhi and a request to pay Rs 479 for the parcel. After reaching the post office, I was amused to see a small packet from Readers Digest measuring about 9x6 inches. I declined it, but before doing it, I managed a sneak peak inside to find some little diary. Subsequently, I saw an ad in last month's copy that Rs 479 is the price of an year's subscription and that you could "suggest a gift" to anyone. All you had to do is provide the name and address of any arbitrary stranger to RD and RD would send them a complimentary diary along with a request to pay the amount.

1. This seems like a violation of privacy for abusively using address information without consent.

2. This definitely leaves ambiguous the source of address. RD might just be picking it from their database.

3. It is downright unethical to force someone to pay for something not ordered. RD must first send a notification intimating that they would like to send you this via VPP and get you to pay for an year. This notice must be sent with acknowledgement due.

4. As the scheme lies currently, it seems that it is a perfect way to cheat consumers. It is very likely that most people would get cheated by this.

I am sure they would value whatever is inside the packet at Rs 479 and thus try to be legally right. But it is definitely illegal to sell something without the express consent of the buyer.

I have received cash transfer letter , stating that I am entitled to win an electronic Bank Transfer of Rs. 26,00,000/- instant cash. I have been instructed to sign and returned the same entry document within 72 hrs of winner selection.

So far have have not been confirmed the payment by any office bearer of Reader's Digest.
Please confirm the status of prize confirmation.
