25th November 2024 (Day 1):
Purchased Realme Techlife 4K Smart TV from Flipkart.
19th December 2024 (Day 1):
After completing a software update on the Realme Techlife 4K Smart TV, the screen displayed red and green lines, followed by a complete blackout. The TV became non-functional and showed no picture.
20th December 2024 (Day 2):
Raised a complaint with both Flipkart and Realme Techlife regarding the defective TV.
I was assured that a technician would visit within 3 days to inspect and resolve the issue.
23rd December 2024 (Day 5):
No technician visited. I followed up with both Flipkart and Realme Techlife.
Flipkart assured me that they would resolve the issue as they are associated with Realme Techlife.
25th December 2024 (Day 7):
A technician from Realme Techlife contacted me and requested a video of the issue and the serial number of the TV.
I recorded the video and promptly sent it to the technician.
27th December 2024 (Day 9):
Followed up with Flipkart and Realme Techlife again, and was told that the video was rejected because it was uploaded from my phone’s gallery.
I had sent the video directly to the technician before uploading it, which seemed unreasonable.
28th December 2024 (Day 10):
The technician finally visited the location and inspected the TV.
He confirmed that the issue was software-related and not due to physical damage or electrical failure.
He informed me that the main board needed to be replaced and would be ordered.
2nd January 2025 (Day 16):
The technician replaced the main board as per the previous communication.
However, the issue was still unresolved, and the TV continued to be non-functional.
5th January 2025 (Day 19):
I contacted Flipkart and Realme Techlife again, requesting an update.
I was told that they would resolve the issue within 48 hours.
7th January 2025 (Day 21):
After the 48-hour period, I followed up again.
Both Flipkart and Realme Techlife assured me that the issue would be resolved within 48 more hours.
9th January 2025 (Day 23):
Followed up again after another 48 hours, but was still told to wait 48 more hours for a resolution.
13th January 2025 (Day 27):
No further action was taken to resolve the issue. The TV remains non-functional, and I am still waiting for a resolution.
Key Points of Concern:
The technician visit, which was promised within 3 days, took 10 days to occur.
Despite the main board replacement on 2nd January, the issue has not been resolved even after 27 days.
I am paying EMIs for a product that has been non-functional for over 27 days.
I am continuously given vague promises to wait 48 hours, with no clear action or resolution.
Lack of accountability from both Flipkart and Realme Techlife, despite repeated follow-ups.
