Redbus — Bus did not pick up passengers

There was a booking by my family from Digha to Kolkata vide PNR no 46RGV8FH, Ticket no TQ4T4812 3046 for 5 passengers bearing seat numbers 36 to 40.

A copy of the ticket is attached.

My family arrived at the pickup point and did see any bus. The scheduled time of departure was 11.30 am. Not seeing the bus my family called the number provided on the ticket [protected] first at 11.07 am and it replied that the bus will be at the petrol pump.

As I am Kolkata now and when my family informed I too called on this number and he informed that the bus is at the petrol pump. When I said my family is waiting there he gave me the conductor no which is [protected] at 11.45 am he said he is 20 minutes away and can do nothing. How can he be 20 minutes away if the scheduled time of departure is 11.30??
I called back the number ending 3903 and he didn't have a definite reply.

Now the bus did not pick up the passengers I would request you to refund the booking amount.

Take necessary steps and ensure this kind of bad experience is not repeated otherwise your app will be unreliable.

Request your urgent feedback all your phone numbers are either automated or not responding. Very unfortunate service.

In addition to my complaint here, I lodged a complaint with Red bus too. I got a reply from redbus that they had investigated the matter and as per their investigation the bus operated as per scheduled time and the passengers were at fault so no refund can be entertained.

But the fact is that the passengers pressed upon the contact person and he arranged an alternative bus and no additional fare was charged.

Under this situation, we are not claiming any refund but want to point out the inefficiency on the part of Redbus to check the simple facts rather than just blindly complete the job without even going through the complaint properly.
In addition to it, the people are keeping themselves shielded with a very complicated HELP page which is very difficult to lodge a complaint or even navigate. The purpose I fear is that number of genuine sufferers will be reduced and issues to handled will be less.
Red bus need to relook at the customer service.

Now the gets complicated. Today a call came from a number [protected] saying that he is calling from Redbus. He said he will be arranging for a refund. He told me to download the "Anydesk" app. I refused then he said then I will not get a refund and disconnected.

Whoever is reading don't post your number in the complaint.

The gist is raise a voice and you will definitely get cheated.

Redbus representative called me. She patiently listened to the issue and since as mentioned by me earlier an alternate bus was organised I do not claim any refund.
She had noted the improvements that can be made for better service and assured that redbus will try to improve on it.
