[Resolved] Renault — Duster - Power Steering - Stops Working

Hi, I have Renault Duster 110 PS 2013 model. I am facing issue with the Power Steering which suddenly before coming back on after a few seconds. Te steering becomes real hard as if I am driving a truck. I have taken my car to Trident Renault (Whitefield, Bangalore) at least on 3 earlier occasions however the issue persists. And every time I was told that it has been fixed. Today again I have left it at the Service Center for the problem to be fixed. Now when I called the center they are still saying the same thing that the hose will be changed to fix the issue. The same was done on all previous occasions. I spoke with the Service Manager, even he says we will look into it. I am not sure how long will I have to suffer before it gets fixed. No escalation contacts are mentioned anywhere in the service center and on the Internet as well. Posting on this site in the hope that it will have an impact on the guys responsible and they come clean on the issue and resolve it. Regs, Bhanu

i have duster 2014 adventure with 40000k km steering started going stiff on turning right ...left is ok ...What is the problem... i see lots of them have problem with steering

Did you get any resolution to the issue.. I have had the same issue with my 2013 Duster for the past 1.5-2 years.

I gave the vehicle to Renault service center in panjim to check steering and an oil leak. Charged me 70k in repairs and didn't do the steering (claimed they did) or the oil (said they didnt).

I told em to the important fixes and then replace my tail lights if cash is left over as I budgeted 70k. They replaced lights etc. and didn't do any critical repair.

Power steering is completely gone. I tried complaining on the service provided and even escalation team stopped reaching out after a while. Said that's how it happens sometimes.

I am also having the same problem with steering. When making left turn the steering often gets very tight, as if driving a manual steering car. Even Renault Service center was not able to help( The only idea they gave was, it could be due to air pressure in tyre).

Hi everyone on this forum I got Renault Lodgy and it's the same problem power steering is gone very hard and to turn the steering wheel. I took it to the local garage and he suggested to take car in Mumbai which is 200 km away from my village and it's impossible to drive so has anyone fixed this problem and how, please let me know.
