I HAVE RENAULT DUSTER WITH REGISTRATION NO DL4CAF 4413 IN NAME OF VARUN AGGARWAL PURCHASED FROM YOUR MOTI NAGAR SHOWROOM AT DELHI.FROM THE DAY WE PURCHASED CAR WE WERE HAVING PROBLEMS AND NO SATISFACTORY SOLUTION IS PROVIDED TILL DATE.WE WERE HAVING GEAR SHIFT PROBLEM FROM LAST TWO TO THREE MONTHS BUT NO ONE IS ATTENDING OUR PROBLEM AT YOUR SERVICE CENTRES.YOUR SERVICE EXECUTIVES DO NOT TRUST OUR WORDINGS IN GEAR SHIFT PROBLEM AND ASK FOR VIDEO PROOF OF PROBLEM IN GEAR SHIFT WHICH IS NOT POSSIBLE.THEY DRIVE THE CAR AND SAY THAT THEIR IS NO GEAR SHIFT PROBLEM BY DRIVING FEW METRES. THEIR IS PROBLEM IN GEAR SHIFT FROM 1ST GEAR TO 2ND GEAR MANY TIMES WHICH IS EVIDENT IN LONG DISTANCE DRIVING AND GEAR BECOME ROCKSTRONG WHEN WE CHANGE THE GEAR AND WE HAVE TO FORCEFULLY CHANGE THE GEAR FROM 1ST TO 2ND . WE VISITED YOUR SHOWROOM WITH THIS PROBLEM 3 TIMES BUT IN VAIN.WE ARE NOT GETTING THE RIGHT SERVICE FROM THE DAY WE PURCHASED THE CAR .WE HAVE NO EXTRA TIME TO VISIT YOUR SERVICE CENTRES AGAIN AND AGAIN.WE WERE HAVING CAR OF OTHER COMPANIES ALSO BUT THE SERVICE OF RENAULT IS FAR BELOW THEN POOR, i HAVE REMORSE THE WE PURCHASED YOUR DUSTER CAR.I REQUEST TO LOOK INTO THE MATTER IMMEDIATELY.

For all renault duster users having gear shifting problems from 1st gear to 2nd gear, ask the authorized service center to change your synchronization rings. That solves the problem. I faced the same problem - after almost a year of the car going to the service center almost every month with the same issue and numerous attempts by the ASC guys to resolve this, changing these rings finally resolved the issue. Thankfully, i had the foresight to take extended warranty so it did not cost me anything, but without this, change of these rings can set you back by a good 15 to 20k. Happy motoring!

Bharat - I am having the same issue and along with this issue there is also slight shuddering of engine when releasing clutch in 1st gear. This also starts after 30 mins of drive in bumper to bumper traffic. Did you face this issue as well and if yes - was it resolved after changing the synch rings?

I am also facing the same issue. Some times not able to sift gear. @Renault please provide solution on this issue

Same problem with me. Gears stuck, hard to shift gears. Noisy. Sounds coming while shifting gears.
Changed 1st and 2nd gear hub, clutch kit with release bearing, slave cylinder or hydraulic receiver they call it.
Clutch bleeding done.
Gear shift handle was jumping while vehicle starts.
Lots of problems even after frequent repairs.
Still problem persists.
I have some doubts regarding their troubleshooting methods.
After mount loosening and again tighten, gear handle jumping problem solved.
But still force has to be applied while gear putting in 1st when we start the vehicle.
Then from 1st to 2nd gear shifting again hardness is observed. Unpleasant ride experience.
Gear box working is not smooth.

Hi, I have duster 2013 model. Right from day 1, I am getting gear becoming tight intermittently. It doesn't happen always. But when it happens it's very bad and hard to change the gear. I have tried getting it serviced multiple times at Renault silk board, Bangalore. But nothing really helped. In the last service a week ago they are telling clutch needs to be replaced and it costs close to 40k. I don't believe it will solve the problem unless it had manufacturing defect as from day 1 I am facing this problem. Car has run 50k now. You can check my service record from day 1 and I have complainedaboutitin every service. I am overall happy with the car except this problem which is very annoying and can be dangerous too. Can customer service please respond how it was solved for other customers so that I can get sane thing done. If this problem is solved, I am planning to keep this car a few more years. I am facing this issue from 2019 after bodyshop work in my duster 85 rxl plus. To this day I am being fooled by service executive that it is a clutch issue. The car creates problem in 1st to 2nd gear. The gear knob was broken in 2019 on delivery which was changed. I feel my car even though out of warranty has been deliberately screwed at your service center. I do visit often and pay a good amount, no need to break my car and trust for money. WB02AF7632
