[Resolved]  Renault — the service by authorised service centre

Sir / Madam,
I am RVSRK. Prasad from Hyderabad.
I have purchased one "Renault Lodgy Stepway" vehicle with lot of confidence on the Renault brand and their services, on[protected]. The Registration number of my vehicle is TS 09 EL 9640.
I have got my vehicle serviced earlier at the Madhapur and LB Nagar service centres in Hyderabad. I had no problems with their service.

Recently I have received many messages and personal calls from one service centre in Amberpet, Hyderabad, stating that they have opened new branch and requested both by sms and personal calls that they have latest equipment and experienced technicians and they may be given a chance to service my vehicle.

Recently the AC in my vehicle suddenly stopped working. It was working fine when I parked it on the night, but when started the vehicle the next day, the problem arose. Around this time I received calls from the center as stated above. Believing their promises and of course the Renault brand name, I have given my vehicle to them for repairing the air conditioner in my vehicle on 09.05.2018.
At first they said the problem would be looked into and I would be intimated on identification of the problem. When no call is received, I made the call and the concerned informed that the problem is not yet identified, and would intimate me soon. The next day they said that the problem is not in the bonnet, and the dash board has to be opened for identifying the problem, and it would take one more day. The next day also the same reply. On Friday, i.e. 11.5.18, the Mr Vijay Kumar, the advisor informed that the problem is not in the dash board also and needs further investigation in the roof, and the vehicle will be returned by evening. No intimation from them for the next three days. However on my enquiry he informed that the problem has been solved, but under inspection.
Unable to bear anymore, I personally went to the service center on Monday, i.e. 14.05.2018. He said the vehicle is ready and took me for a test drive. During the drive I observed that the problem is not solved completely and the cooling is not proper. On going back to the service station, the technician said that there is some jam in the condenser, and the same has been cleared and ready. One more gentlemen who said he is final inspector took me for a test drive. During this drive also the AC was not working well, and the technician promised to complete the same and return the following day.
It is very ironic that after giving my vehicle I had to follow up with them for so many days leaving my job and other works. In fact I was going to Delhi that day at 2 PM and it was already 1 PM. I told my schedule very clearly to him and he promised to deliver the vehicle after repair at my residence. I told him that my wife will inspect the vehicle, and if it is found ok, she will immediately make the payment.

I had to follow up with Mr Vijay even from Delhi many times, and finally at about 4 PM yesterday, i.e. 15.05.18 the vehicle was taken to my residence. When my wife inspected the vehicle, not only the AC was not working properly, but the AC vents in the 2nd and 3rd rows are giving lot of noise. When she complained about it to the technician, he said recklessly that since new coil is used, it is natural. When my wife told him that the new vehicle also came with new coil only but it did not make such loud noise at that time, he did not have proper answer, and asked for the payment. She told him that it is not proper to demand money without first rectifying the problem, the driver took back the vehicle.
In this connection I wish to inform that the said center is not having any skilled technicians nor responsible managers for carrying out the works associated with the servicing of vehicles. They lack both the skill for identification of the problem and also the technical expertise to rectify the problem.
I had to tell Mr Vijay Kumar by calling from Delhi that I am not at all happy with their service as also response, and that I am going to lodge complaint against them. He very coolly advised me to do so. After about half-an-hour, one gentleman called me and introduced himself as customer relations manager, and said he would personally look into the problem and rectify it by today, and requested me to be patient till that time.
I waited upto this time, but no call is received from him nor any other member, nor my vehicle is returned.
With lot of respect to the Renault brand, I would like to inform that I have lost my confidence in the capability of the above service centre. I also doubt whether the above service centre is recognized by you or not. Frankly speaking, I am now concerned about the safety and security of the vehicle.
Hence I request you to please treat this as my complaint and advise all the concerned for proper repair of my vehicle and safe return. I trust that the higher authorities will understand my concern and take proper steps at the earliest, as otherwise, I will be constrained to explore all legal and other recourse for the redressal of my genuine complaint.
