Dear Sirs/ Madam I am OCI and have NRE & NRO Bank Accounts in India, I am in possession of about 80K Rs Defunct Indian Currency, taken out of my NRE account. The Defunct Currency is in India. Please can you advice what are my options are left, for exchanging the obsolete Indian Currency. Please can you also advise, what is the rational behind excluding POI/OCI Personnel from exchanging Higher denomination defunct Indian Currency.
