Reserve Bank Of India [RBI] — Foreign remittance /re
Sir, I am resident of tamilnadu. My son a french citizen living with his family in france. Recently in the second week of may he went to his bank for remittance in my account. The concerned bank staff refused to accept cash and information him to brink cheque. Accordingly after two days he went to bank and have cheque. Then the staff told him the Remittance to india will take ten to twelve days time. Since 2004 he is sending money for our lively hood through his bank to my bank accout here in india. Earlier the remittance will reach into my account within two or three days time. Now due to this ubnormal delay we both senior citizens and patients are suffering a lot to get our daily essential, medicine etc., Banks are right lipped and not giving any reason for ubnormal delay. Many indians working community are in Saudi arabia, uae, kuwait, qatar etc. They are sending their hard earned money to their families for their lively hood. Further many indians who obtained foreign country citizen ship by legal means also sending their earnings to their old age parents and relatives through bank. Due to ubnormal delay in remittance myself and my wife both are patients and also senior citizens suffering a lot. Such awkward situation is facing by many families like me. What is the government of india motives i do not know. Who is going to give explanation for our plight. Expecting your reply. Regards M. K. N. Khan Was this information helpful?
