dear sir, my name is amandeep singh, i m from punjab and serving in indian navy at chennai i booked one bullet standard 350 in last aug and i got the bike delivery on 02 jan 2014.from ur showroom in adyar chennai.. but after getting this and a ride of 15 km there was a leakage in engine oil regarding that leakage i informed to shoroom dealer he took the bike to service center and fixed i... but after 5 days on 07 jan when i was on a trip on my bike almost 40 km far from my living place same problem comes i think this is the poor show after a waiting of 5 months and after paying this money if i m getting this repaired bike thats too bad is it is the name royal enfield i want to replace my bike now presently bike is in your showroom and again they are going to repair it so again they ate going to give me a repaired bike please sir i m requesting u plz go with ur name royal and do whatever u want to do but solve this problem if new bullet comes like this hen there is nothing like royal tha

    Hi Customer care, Am Ananth, owner of recently purchased (13-nov-2012) Royal Enfield classic 350 [ Chassis No: ME3U3S5C0CL194891 & Engine No: U3S5U3S5C0CL194891]. Am here to voice out my concerns over the last 2 service provided by Classic motor cycle, D-8, Ambattur Industrial estate, chennai -600058 I felt the bike was good before service but after service the bike started giving lot of trouble, Some of the issues are Engine oil leakage Suspension sound Block in carburetor Starting trouble Tyre alignment (while running in 2nd gear, back wheel not aligning properly.) Chains is touching the chain cover and producing noise Speedometer not working (changed the wire twice) Royal Enfield is my dream bike and I waited 6 month to get it. After getting the bike, I was proud to ride this bike but my dreams are vanished, when the fellow bikers pointed out my wheel alignment issue. The bike suddenly stopped in the middle of the traffic road so many times, thank god for not getting into any accident and I was facing the uneasy look about my bike from fellow commuters. Because of these issue am not able to take this bike for a long trip. Now this bike turned me off so many times and after spending more money to get my dream bike;am getting mental suffering instead of pleasure. I hope you can feel/understand the pain. Now am deeply regretted for choosing this agony bike. Requesting you to take my bike back or compensate me to resolve all issues.         Sir, I purchased a classic 350 and .I recently came to know the Royal Enfield classic 350 is produced with two shape of fuel tank big and small in shape when i asked them they told .the difference is because they are manufactured at two different plants.my bike is having small tank.
        Why 2 type of tanks for a same Model from same company.The company is not giving any information regarding this to the customer at the time of booking/purchase.Even in their website no details given about this.If this is an updation why still producing old models?
        They are cheating the customers by selling the products like this.
        Most people are buying the classic 350 with out knowing this difference in tank shape.the company is hiding this difference from public to sell their products produced in both plants.because if people knows this every one will buy only the one with big tank.

        please help me in this case to get my bike changed with the one with big tank..

        I would say you should take pride in owning your classic 350, coz its one among the last hand made models that will come out of RE stable. I heard that RE is gradually stopping production at the old plant where the hand made classics are made. The big tank model is coming out of the new plant, where everything is automated. It would be miles ahead in terms of quality, but the original feel of hand made stuff will be missed painfully. Agree that RE is not doing a good job in hiding this fact from classic lovers who are waiting for close to 10 months, but in a way getting the smaller tank model is a blessing. It depends on your perspective too...whether you love to own a real hand made classic watchfully hand made from the oldest motorcycle assembling plant in the world, or you love a bigger tank with looks but has got a tank with bush fitting just like any other bikes available in the market. It really is your choice...

As you said there is a choice for the customers. whether to buy hand made small size tanks or machine made big tanks, , but my question is why RE not providing that option to choose the bike at the time of purchase, they are not providing any info about this at the time of booking or purchase, is it that really a cheating,

        is there any option to get my bike changed from RE

          I Have purchased A Royal Enfield Standard 350 From Legend Motors, Old No. 28, New No. 14 G.S.T. Road, Sundarambal Nagar Tambaram Sanatorium, Chennai -600047 in October 2012. I am having 2 major problems from the very next day onwards of the delivery date. 1. Right side pulling. 2. Engine noise. I have purchased my bike in October-2012. Still these issues are not resolved. I have given my bike to Legend motors more than 10 times. They will keep my bike in service centre for more than 4-5 days. I have sent many mails to Royal enfield, but nobody was taking responsibility to fix this issue. Then I have given my bike to Suthern Motors Anna nGar to fix this issue. My bike was there for 14 days. After that bike is vibrating too much, my horn was not working, very huge noise from back wheel and chain is rubbing somewhere. Again I went to Suthern motors, still issue is not resolved.             I booked enfield on 18/10/13 from Manmohan auto stores sector 27-c Chandigarh receipt no.1681 . The commmited to delivered on 20/ nov/13 but th nt give any call. Then i called on 22/ nov /13 they said after two days u can call and confirmed. i call after two they said call after 2 days. Today 2/ dec/ 13 they did nt give any cal for delivery. pls tell me what should i do...

              Dear Royal Enfield Team, I am an owner of a 2 week old Thunderbird 500 purchased at CVS Motors, Bangalore and I am very frustrated and disappointed with the quality of the Bike delivered to me. The issues are listed below. Date:Kms covered: issue 8th Nov 2013:4kms: New RE Thunderbird 500 delivered. 9th Nov 2013:34 kms: Faulty front brake switch exists in new bike which was passed through PDI checks. Front Brake switch which was present on the bike was faulty, due to which when I hold the front brakes the tail light would not switch on. Needed replacement 16th Nov 2013:99 kms:Intermittent Prominent braking sound from rear brake. 23rd Nov 2013:130 kms: Oil leak from the bike. Needs to be fixed As a loyal RE owner since 2009, it is very disappointing when a premium bike costing Rs. 1, 88, 884/- delivered after a long wait of over 6months has such issues. In addition to the cost of the bike, now I have to spend extra cost, though it is only a 2 week old vehicle. And also, in between my busy work schedule, I need to run around to get the above issues fixed. Apart from the store manager (who is busy all the time) CVS motors, Bangalore are NOT approachable to due sheer over load of customers and understaffed employees. I do not understand why a new bike should have so much of complications. The quality of the product is below satisfactory. As a loyal customer of Royal Enfield, I expect some support and quality improvement. I hope Royal Enfield takes note of the above concerns and responds at the earliest.               I am frustrated, angry and mad over quality of TB 500 delivered to me from RE CVS Motors. My entire experience with RE has turned negative with the issues still existing even after leaving the bike for a second per-delivery inspection and service at CVS motors.

              I am very very frustrated and I NEED MY MONEY Back. The oil leak, back brake sound, front brake sound all still exist and have NOT BEEN FIXED. I DO NOT have the time to run around getting it fixed and need someone return my MONEY back

              The bike has hardly covered 300 kms and even within the run-in period there are such issues.

              8th Nov 2013 4kms New RE Thunderbird 500 delivered.

              1st Dec Same Oil Leak, Sound from back brake and front brake issues still exist

                  Hello,

                  This is regarding your service centre (Synergy Auto - Andheri Mumbai), who are actively irresponsible for all of your customers. Entrusting the brand “Royal Enfield”, however your people are not interested in providing any service to your customers. Probably doesn’t matter to you anymore as there are enough sales for you.

                  I had given my bike for servicing and got the delivery on 03rd Oct ’13. However, the work was not done properly & again brought the bike to your service centre on 01st Nov ’13. I was told that it was not possible for your service centre to accept the bike for servicing as you were overloaded and was asked to bring the bike on 04th Nov. Now understanding the fact that you may be closed due to festival season I enquired for the same, however one of your employees “Roman” told me that you are open. I therefore brought the bike at your service centre only to find out that it was closed.

                  I again brought the bike on 07th Nov’13 where your people again actively refused to accept. Now, I really don’t understand where my fault is to bring my bike at your service centre on my friend’s suggestion. After accepting the bike for servicing the guy who made the job card assured me that he will keep the bike ready by Sun 10th Nov. I voluntarily told him that even if it takes more time, its ok, but I don’t want to bring the bike again for the same issue. He assured me the same. Ironically, I visited again on Mon 11th Nov to check the status and was told that the bike will be ready by evening and they will call me back. I did not receive any call. Therefore I called them today on 13th Nov ’13 to find out that the bike is still untouched an entire work is pending.

                  Understanding the fact that you have enough sales in market and you now you do not need customers, I have decided to take this up with the Royal Enfield itself and have sent a copy of my complaint to them.

                    I have done 4 service from the authorized delar. but the compliant was still there.at the first two service, they do not catch the complaint.on 3rd and 4th service they found the complaint.but it is not done.noise is still there and it is very high. vehicle complete 5600 km. After every 40 km, noise is again comes. I brought my bike from arun agencies, karamana. they said that the last service was taken by the technicians form chennai.after all these the complaint is still their. again i give the bike for service in arun agencies, karamana. what will i do. please give your answer and please take further actions

                      Dear Sir, I Mr.Dileep from Kollam, purchased a new bullet Electra 350 from Marikar motors, kollam last month. Reg no : KL 02 AP 9499. I wrote these letter for registering my complaint against the vehicle, 1st service over. I orally told them the following complaints. 1.which cannot kick start through out the day with the help of Chock also. 2.when am In traffic or waiting a signal, the engine is turned off continuously. 3.Nutral indication is not working properly. I am so upset to chose these vehicle, & force full to say this is not a good/comfort vehicle for me. So many traffic problems occurring due to the above mentioned complaints.                           sir i hve bought new thunderbird 350 frm ambala( haryana), i have found bubling from day1 i told them many times but they are not solving the problem, i live in yamuna nagar i got repair from them but problem was not rectified infact they have changed both the rims of bike but still theeir is problem, now they are not helping me properly.

                            I bought an RE TB350 on June 21. I had a fuel tank leak from the moment I bought it. The workshop denied any such leak till the first service. It has been 4 months now n I still haven't received my replament tank. Yesterday they told me the tank has arrived. But soon I came to know it was of the wrong colour. The bike is giving a meagre mileage of 15-20 kmpl when it should be giving at least 30.

                              Since when i bought the bike(Classic 350 bought before 4 months) i have been visiting the service center at least twice or thrice a month. As there was some problem with some of the parts in the bike i asked for replacement and after replacement also i was not satisfied with the replaced parts. When i asked the mechanics they gave a lethargic answer. After going to the service center for continuous complains and parts replacement, the way the mechanics respond was odd. Still having problem in the vehicle, since because the service is very poor. The problem which is told while giving for service is not addressed properly. QC is not done properly for the bike as the new bikes comes with rust on most of the places. Even after replacement am having some problem, i contacted the territory manager to report the problem but he is also not responding.

                                  Hello, I YASH KUMAR R/o Delhi purchased a new RE Electra 350(Engine no. me3u3s5codh301330) from Essar motors,Jhandewalan Extn,New Delhi on 26 Aug and after 1 day(after running it 25kms) , I noticed that the engine of the bike is too noisy , sound's like a tractor engine(khit khit khit ) which was very loud than the normal bullet sound . I was totally disappointed from the service of ROYAL ENFIELD , I thought that i had bought a Indian bull but i was wrong, your company is decreasing the goodwill value every day In the next morning , I talked to essar motors and they gave me all the possible reasons.Most of the shocking statement was given from essar, THIS BIKE IS LIKE THIS ONLY,ITS THE SOUND OF HYDRAULIC TAPPET & THIS WILL COME FROM IT . THEY OPENED THE ENGINE OF THE BIKE FOR WHICH I MADE THE VIDEO ALSO TO KEEP IT AS A PROOF . After too much argument on this matter , they forced us to come after 2 days to take the new bike , and this bike also like this ,On 30th Aug(same day of delivery) about running it about 30 kms ,their was a starting problem on road as i was heading for my job, after having this problem in another new bike i felt mentally torture from your bike and dealer >NO self start >battery totally dead >contacted area manager(pradeep sharma-[protected] at 10A.m next day I.e saturday) >got the statement that (It will get ok in just 2 hrs and provide me contact details of nitin thakur-[protected] ) >At 12:31 , talked to nitin thakur And he told that it sort out as soon as possible . >At 13:47 , he told me that around 16:00 , he 'll come and diagnose the bike >At 14:53 , contacted Pradeep , it will bw solvead asap >At 15:02 , nitin called me & assured me that the problem will be shortly solved out. >At 18:21 , i called Nitin and he told me he wont be able to come today at the given time and will come next day in the morning at 10:00 ,Now its 10:52 but no call is received till now >Till now, Bike is parked near mall Parking compound AND that night i spent with the bike only At this time , I am so much mentally stressed as i have invested about 1.45lakhs in buying this Bike after spending so much amount , their is no satisfaction at all in service and quality , no one is bothered about my newly purchased . According to me , ROYAL ENFIELD does not bothered the bike after delivering it I was standing on road with bike after spending whole night on road i left the bike over there only , now i m fed up with this bike , Mr. Ajit singh did right talk but all the mechanic tried to misguide me by providing all the hindered of excuses. After having problem in both the new bike consequently , I don't want to take your bike because I am a serviceman at Mc Donalds India and now I m taking it as a mentally torture from the company , your mechanics , engineers all are like this only . At this time , I am so much mentally stressed as i have invested about 1.45lakhs in buying this Bike after spending so much amount , their is no satisfaction at all in service and quality , no one is bothered about my newly purchased . According to me , ROYAL ENFIELD does not bothered the bike after delivering it After having so much problem from the date of purchase , It seems like that i wont be suggesting this bike to any other person neither in my circle nor in my relatives and colleagues The service is totally disappointed and dis mannered. Their are lot more competitors in the market who delivers the very good quality bike and service and i m heading forwarded to purchase them.                                     Hello Sir!

                                    Respected Sir,

                                    I am Jitender Singh Gaite S/O Shri Rajender Singh Gaite, R/O Friends Colony, Bhiwani, Haryana- 127021. I am working at CIRG, Makkhdoom, PO Farah, Mathura- 281122 UP.

                                    Sir, I have booked a Royal Enfield Bike Classic 350 Black Clour in April 2013 with your dealer M/s. Manzil Motors, IDC, Sector - 16, Gurgaon, Haryana.

                                    The Bike was delivered to me on 26th May 2013. I was very happy to have my DREAM BIKe in my possession. But after leaving for my Home Town Bhiwani that is 130 km away there I suddenly wake up with a noise from the engine of the bike. The noise became louder with the distance I covered. When I reached my Home the noise was considerably loud. But when I started the bike after a rest of around two hours ther was no noise as loud as that. But as and when I rode the bike for than 10-15 km at a stretch the same noise happened to occur.I reported to Manzil motors Supervisor Mr. Satyendr about the noise. He replied that its not an issue to worry about. When I got the bike serviced on 3rd july 2013 from manzil Motors I reported about the noise, problem in gear shifting, some problem related to back light with other problems.
                                    I have reported the problems to Mr. Satendra Ji.. He said the noise from the engine is not an issue to worry about. He told me that the problem of noise could only be resolved if the bike is left for two three nights at the Manzil Motors. However other problems were resolved. After getting my bike serviced from manzil motors I started for my home. The bike resumed its pre service conditions. The problem of gear shifting and noise from engine surfaced again within 25-30 km run. This was in opposition to the assurance of Mr. Satendra Ji who told me that noise problem was resolved. I continued with the noiseyyyy bike for a few days however the problem of gear shifting was intensified further. Now the gear shifting was too making a noise and more often than not the gear remained engaged specially shifting the gear from 5 to 4, from 4 to 3 and 3 to2. Getting the bike in NUTr0.AL was like winning a war.

                                    A few days later when I tried to start the bike it didn’t respond to shelf start. I tried to kick start the bike for the first time. I was surprised to see that the Kick was free. The gear were too free. I reported the case to Mr. Satendra Ji again. He said get the bike to Manzil Motors. I hired a tempo. I loaded my bran new bike in that and took it to Manzil Motors on my own expenses. The public gaze in the way were accusing me of being the owner of such a BRAND NEW BIKE. I have narrated the whole event before Mr. Satendra Ji (kindly see the attached job card of complain). He replied nothing to worry about. The bike was more than ten days. I come on Sunday to took my bike after it was reportedly repaired/okeyed by the Manzil Motors. I was told that CLUCH PLATES had to be changed. I was charged for that too.(kindly see the bill enclosed).

                                    More than this I found the TOOL BOX was missing from the BIKE. I asked Mr. Satendra Ji for TOOL BOX. He replied that ours is the best showroom in India. Even an alPIN can not go missing from customer’s bike. But I was confident that my tool kit was in the bike at the time I left the bike at Manzil Motors to resolve my complain. I insisted to produce the job card bearing my signature. After an hour of repeated requests the job card was produced which was showing that the tool kit was in the bike when it was left with Manzil Motors. Then Mr. Satendra Ji tried to give me useless tool kit but I refused. I asked him to give my own tool kit. But he took out a tool kit form a new bike and handed over me .

                                    After paying the bill I started my bike for Mathura. As soon as I covered 1 km distance I noticed that the so called new CLUCH Plate wasn’t properly fit. I went back to Manzil Motors and asked Mr. Satendra Ji about his stupid joke. He replied that the bike wasn’t taken for a test drive after new cluch plate was fitted. So leave the bike for two more days. I said no, the bike was with you for more than ten days and the job card clearly shows that I have reported the problem of cluch plate along with the noise (entered as CALM NOISE in the Job card of my complain. Kindly see the job card attached.). I would not leave the bike anymore. You repair it right now. He repaired the bike in hurry. I thanked him and left for Mathura.

                                    But problem of noise surfaced after a run of 20-25 km run. I called Mr. Satendra ji. He said its not an issue and I could drive the bike. When I crossed PALWAL the noise became unbearable. I called Mr. Satendra again. He heard the noise and said that I should return to Manzil if I wanna get the bike repair. I asked him what the hell are you talking about? The bike was him for a long time and problem was duly reported to him at the time of complain why he did not resolve the problem? Then I took a break for about half an hour. When I started the bike the noise was lesser. I drove the bike at a speed of 25-30 kmh the noise was sustained but lesser. When I reached Mathura the noise was much louder. As I entered my working place at Makhdoom the bike was roaring like a tractor or a tempo. The next morning when I tried to start the bike it did not start. I was disappointed with its response. I called Mr. Satendra Ji and told him the incident. He asked me to take the bike to the nearest agency of Royal Enfield at Mathura. I replied that I was fed up with loading the bike in tempo. He then gave mobile number of a Mr. Piyush Ji. He didn’t attend my call many times. I called Mr. Satendra Ji again and informed that I would be forced to knock the doors of COSUMER FORM. After some time Mr. Piyush contacted me. He gave me number of Mathura agency ( a Mr. Manish ji). I called him and reported the problem. He in turn asked me to talk to their mechanic Mr. Chaudhary Khan. Mr. Khan sahb asked me clean the plug and check fuses. When I cleaned the plug and kicked the bike something came out with a kick form the plug hole of the bike. Boys standing around me told that it was LOCK of the HEAD. I contacted Mr. Piyush and said the bike was not getting started . I requested him to send mechanics form Mathura agency. I gave me my address and he promised me to send mechanics in two hours. I kept waiting for many hours. I called Mr. Piyush around 5:30 pm and asked him how long he would take to count two hours? Then he sent two mechanics at my station. I have shown the partical that come out of the plug hole while I was cleaning the plug on their direction. Mr. Khan started the bike within a minute. I was happy. But he said that the bike had to be taken to Mathura for replacing the LOCK of the Head. He talked to Mr. Piyush. Mr. Piyush asked me to drop the bike at Mathura. I asked him who would bear the charges of transport? He replied they (Mathura agency) would pay on his behalf. I took the bike at Mathura on the next day. Mr Khan and his staff were very much helpful and co-operative. I got my bike repaired with a lesser noise by the afternoon. And Mr. Piyush assured me that there would be no noise in my bike after replacing a Head which was not available at that time at Mathura agency.(Bill paid at Mathura is also enclosed)

                                    Keeping in view the above disgusting incident you are kindly requested to take necessary action to get me a new bike. I don’t want to go ahead with a rejected piece of bike Classic 350 delivered to me by your authorized agent Manzil Motors, Gurgaon. I suspect that Manzil Motors might have replaced many genuine parts of my bike when the bike was with them for resolution of my complain. When they can try to misplace my TOOL KIT which is a OPEN thing even a layman and blind man can find out that tool kit is missing. Who guarantees about the inner, less known genuine parts of bike.

                                    This bike has defamed my public image. I hope you are sensitive enough to measure the feeling of loading of new bike in a tempo? More than this it roared like a tractor itself. I am sure that the bike delivered to me was a rejected piece and I was fooled by the Manzil Motors. Can it be the case that ROYAL ENFIELD produces such pieces of bike? I don’t think it does.

                                    I request you to look at the incident with a sensitive view. Kindly don’t punish me for being a CUSTOMER of Royal Enfield. I hope you will get my bike replaced at the earliest. I am sure you will not force me to knock the doors of CONSUMER COURT/FORM.

                                    An urgent and prompt action is solicited.

                                    In case you are not the COMPETENT AUTHORITY to replace the rejected bike delivered to me , kindly send me the address of the COMPETENT AUTHORITY along with phone and mobile number.
                                    Requesting you to not to force me to knock the DOORS of CONSUMER FORM.

                                      Dear Sir,

                                      I have classic 350 Royal Enfield Motorcycle having Reg.No. MH12HE2016 and clocked 19252 km till date. I have bought this motor cycle on 28/6/2011 from Dhone Automobiles Pune Maharashtra Dealer.

                                      I have been carrying out all the periodic maintenance services on time without skipping single service as per manufacture recommendation at Dhone Automobiles service workshop.

                                      Within 25 months and 19000 km I have spent Rs 22500.00 (Twenty two thousand five hundred only) on this motorcycle against periodic and brake down maintenance due to poor quality of product.This maintenance cost is very high than normal four wheeler (family car) maintenence.

                                      In month of may 2013 just on 18000 km dealer has replaced engine bearing set against problem, abnormal noise from engine side which cost me Rs 75200.00. Then after a driving just 1000 km on 25 July 2013 dealer has replaced entire clutch housing assembly ,clutch cable,including clutch lever against clutch malfunctioning problem which cost me rs 4300.00.
                                      The reason for raising this concern in month of may 2013 when I have escalated my matter to customer service Royal Enfield., my concern was resolved only then after.

                                      Now after spending Rs 4000.00 again on clutch issue still clutch is malfunctioning.I have shown my motorcycle twice to dealer for same problem but dealer could not fixed the problem.So again I escalated the issue to customer service Royal Enfield and Territory Service Manager on 10 th August 2013. Now today is 4th day nobody is bother to reply me even acknowledged my concern and I am waiting for reply.
                                      My problem should be resolved because it annoying for me.
