With due painful submission, it is my painful duty to inform you that i, amit kumar sinha (Mobile no. [protected]) an owner of royal enfield classic 350 (Black) having registration no. Ap30ag1811, chassis no.- me3u3s5c1gf450217, engine no.-u3s5c1gf225242 visited royal enfield authorized sales & service showroom namely 'riderz ikon', near sai baba temple, mettupalayam road, coimbatore on[protected] for general paid service (Took permission from showroom before coming). Further, i would like to inform you that i along with my wife came from coonoor, nilgiris, tamilnadu as i am working in central police, govt. Of india.
Routinely, before servicing, i informed the showroom person my vehicle's technical/running issues which i used to sense on daily riding. I left my vehicle at the showroom for servicing and came back to the showroom at around 1700 hrs. I paid approx rs.6250/- for the same and got my vehicle.
Accordingly, i left the showroom and was riding the vehicle smoothly. Suddenly, reaching just before mettupalayam. Vehicles horn, headlight, self-start switch which started malfunctioning and my vehicle got to break down near black thunder (Forest area), mettupalayam. Even the vehicle's kick was also malfunctioning. Accordingly, i spoke to riderz showroom ([protected]) at around 1845 hrs. And told me about my vehicle's problem but nobody paid any attention. I was talking over the phone and even requesting to send any mechanic for my rescue but no showroom person came over there. Meanwhile, i started searching for a local mechanic shop but all the shops were closed as that day was sunday. Somehow, i managed to bring my vehicle near to bhavani river bridge, mettupalayam and i found one mechanic shop near to bhavani river bridge which was closed. Consequently, i called the local mechanic namely senthil kumar (Mobile no.[protected], [protected]) and requested to come over there. After some times, the said mechanic came over there and started inspecting my vehicle. He found an accumulation of water near to the regulator/relay that is used to charge a battery on running of the vehicle which further supplies current to the headlight, horn, self start switch. The local mechanic wiped out the water from the regulator/ relay area and accordingly the vehicle engine got to start. After that, the local mechanic spoke to the showroom person (Mobile no.[protected], [protected]) and explained the same problem. Further, the local mechanic said that the showroom person washed the vehicle during the course of servicing bu did not properly dry out the internal electrical system with air. Due to which, headlight horn, self-start switch could not get current and my vehicle got a breakdown.
It was such worst experience that i could have till the repair of my vehicle and 3 hours got waster because of showroom service persons's negligence.
Further, i would like to inform you that my wife was with me during the breakdown and we suffered from a lot of mental harassment as it was sunday and all the shops were closed. Meanwhile (In search of a local mechanic), some anti-social elements came to us when we were stuck near to black thunder (Forest area), mettupalayam during the search of the local mechanic. But somehow we managed to save ourselves with the help of local people. So this kind of situation can be a danger also and even threatening to life also.
So i earnestly request you to take strict action against riderz ikon showroom concerned staff so that this kind of negligence may not take place again in the future and any customer should not suffer from the same.
