[Resolved]  Royal Enfield — Clutch Phasing - Thunderbird 500 CC- Marine TN09 BY 2274

Dear Sir I am really ashamed to say that I am the owner of a Thunderbird 500 CC bike. I had earlier a 350 CC and was happy to use it for one year. The craze to own a powerful 500CC made me sell it and I got this new bike. Now the story begins to unfold about the mistake in buying this new bike. The day when I took this bike the power of the engine and the thrust it showed made me very proud. This lasted only for a few days. One completing 157 KMs the entire Clutch phasing got damaged and had to have a big fight with the service centre to get same replaced. After long discussions between the factory and the service centre the bike was given to me with the note that the entire clutch phasing was changed. During the discussion with the service centre Manager I had to inform him that in the event the problem was not rectified, I would simple take the bike and burn it in front of the press & media. I informed him that I would even write about the bike I had purchased. After paying an amount of Rs186000/-, if the vehicle is not performing, why should one go and waste his money in buying a Thunderbird 500CC. Two weeks back I did the first service and everything was smooth. Since the last two days the bike (500cc) is not performing like what it did in the first few days. Again it is going down in the thrust and have the feeling that the Clutch phasing is again going to break down. I do not have time to spend in taking the bike to the service centre every now and then. Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500cc a power engine should not make the owner take it to the service centre for quite some time other than the regular services. I would appreciate that if you take this matter very seriously and send your chief mechanic to come home and take delivery of the vehicle, get the problem sorted out and return it back to me without any delay. The holidays are fast approaching and will be visiting many places and without the vehicle it will put me in great difficulties. Please send your person and get the problem rectified immediately.
