Hi I'm Kushal the owner of a Thunderbird 500x
Year of manufacture: 2018 (bs4)
.
I recently had a very dangerous incident with the bike. I was crusing at 80 kmph approx as usual and suddenly hear a weird sound coming from the front engine/fuel tank of the bike. So I pull up to the service road and check on the bike and I find all the fuel almost being emptied out of the tank and I was lucky the fuel didn't catch fire as it was just weird for so much of fuel to be gushing out in the traffic midday around 1-2 when it was very sunny. The bike was serviced a day ago at the authorised service center in hebbal, . In fact I've always serviced the bike there since I bought it in 2018. I've never had any issues like this till now luckily because of the amount of care I've taken of the bike. I'm a part of the 500x riders group and this has happened with must of the bs4 500 uce owners. Luckily their bikes were under warranty but I didn't feel the need to buy one after 2021 as the bike was running good. It is pretty apparent that it is a design error / manufacturing defect as it's known to happen in other bs4 specific models. I'd like you guys to consider getting this tank changed as a manufacturing defect. Ill attach images with this email to help with my explanation.
The service methods used by the service center also let me down so much that I'd think twice before going for this brand again.
Please think through from a customers perspective and get back to me at your earliest.
A really disappointed customer.
