Sakthi Masala — Quality of the stuff | |||||
I bought a Sakthi Masala Chilli Power pocket 500 gm on 26.11.2015 from a reputed departmental store at Chennai. I have opened this pack on 27.11.2015 and found it contains some other brown colour powder, some thing like a wood scrap powder. So, I called the Sakthi masala HQ and reported it on 28.11.2015 by 11 a.m.. The man who attended the call said that the concerned person is not in the seat and assured me to call me back within one hour. But I have not received any call. so, once again I called them by 3 p.m. The same man picked up the call and repeated that the concerned man is not in the seat and assured to call me before 6 p.m. But no body had called me till now. He agreed that content is not a chillie powder but, unable to say what is the actual content. I was of the strong feeling that Sakthi Masala is a reputed company and follow the trade ethics. If at all there are serious about quality, they would have sent me a representative to collect that pocket and would have examined what is the mistake. They ought to have recalled all the pockets of that batch. But, they have not done it so. As there is no response from them, I am moving the health department for further action on them and also I am moving the consumer forum for an appropriate remedy. Ilegally obliged to serve food which is not fit for human consumption, failure to do so indicates that you are in breach of contract. As a result, we are legally entitled to receive compensation from you for our pain and suffering, loss of popele earning and out-of-pocket expenses.
