November 2019 purchased a 1 year extended warranty for a phone.
Supposed to cover electrical malfunctions and extend manufacturers warranty.
Phone started smoking while being charged by the manufacturers charger Mar 2021.
Reported issue to Servify for warranty coverage. This company has tried to twist every line in their contract not to pay out a warranty claim, they quoted:
(Fortuitous events; including, but not limited to : environmental conditions, exposure to weather conditions or perils of nature; collapse, explosion or collision of or with another object; fire, any kind of precipitation, lightning, dirt/sand, smoke, nuclear radiation, radioactive contamination, riot, war or hostile action are not covered')
So the phone starting to smoke inside a vehicle, not exposed to any elements being charged by a OEM charger is a Fortuitous event apparently. This company is a scam! Was this information helpful? |
