My relatives and i have been getting lots of calls since last one month from a person named Krishna saying he is calling from Shaha Finlease Pvt Ltd. He claims I had taken a personal loan from Standard Chartered bank in 2010. When asked for the details, he just says we have mailed you. This is to bring to your notice that Standard Chartered bank had no record with my mobile number or PAN number when we contacted them because we never opened any account with them and had no relations.
Apart from Krishna's rude behaviour, we have received two different notices from two different lawyers. The fact of receiving notices from two different lawyers itself seems questionable. Further, this is to bring out that the residential address or any other details mentioned is wrong except for the name. When asked from where he got the mobile numbers, he quoted Cibil.
If at all a personal loan was given to a person named Manoj Kumar Agarwal without verifying whose mobile number and most importantly PAN number doesnt match, the company's fault should not become a cause for someone's harassment.
Further, the person named Krishna is calling non-stop from various numbers in spite of being told that we will reply to the notice and is harassing all my family members including my son and 90 years old mother which is uncalled for.
A complaint has been lodged with Standard Chartered as well as civil police with a copy of the letter to you. Standard Chartered bank have also filed a complaint. Kindly do the needful and henceforth instruct Krishna to avoid contacting me and my family members unless the issue is resolved with Standard Chartered itself. What was the bank doing in last 16 years if the loan amount was not being recovered. Further, after three years, it does not hold any legal validity.
