THis is to bring to your kind attention that a school by the name of Shemrock Foundation School in Zirakpur(Punjab) near Chandigarh is being run in a house. The so called school is a franchisee model and is till 5th class. There is no infrastructure and heigiene is never taken care of. THe fee structure is too high for any normal person to get their child admitted. The owner of the school Chetan Bansal lives in the same building on the top floor. As per the norms, they are violating every rule like, hygiene, firefighting, classroom size, safety, area norms etc. They are just minting money and do not even show proper incomings in the returns. A royalty of more than 15% goes to the owner of the franchisee who is based in Mohali. This is sheer negligence on their part as they have made it a pure business. Lacs of rupees are spent on buying property in the name of the franchisee owners and tax theft is at a high level. It is high time that such institutions be closed and made an example so that education is not treated the way like it is being.
