[Resolved]  Shine.com — Fraud: Request for Full Refund and Cancellation of Services

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Shine.com regarding unethical business practices and a dispute over a refund for services rendered.

On [15-Feb-2024], I engaged with Shine.com to avail myself of certain services, for which I made a payment of [INR 3292] . However, subsequent to this initial transaction, I have been consistently pressured into acquiring additional services, each requiring further payments (Order ID: CP514669 Amount :5192.00, Order ID: CP514672 Amount:9556.00, Order ID: CP514685 Amount:15454.82). Despite my refusal to proceed with these additional payments due to lack of disclosure regarding total costs, I was informed that a refund for the previously availed services would not be possible.

The lack of transparency and the refusal to process refunds for undelivered or unwanted services are clear violations of consumer rights and ethical business standards. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue directly with Shine.com, I have not received any response or acknowledgment of my concerns.

Therefore, I request the intervention of the Consumer Forum to address the following:

A full refund of the payment (INR 33, 494) made on 15-Feb-2024 for the services that have not been utilized.
Cancelling any ongoing services and subscriptions associated with my account.
Appropriate penalties and disciplinary action against Shine.com for engaging in unethical business practices and disregarding consumer rights.
I have attached copies of relevant documentation, including payment receipts and correspondence with Shine.com, to support my complaint.

I trust that the Consumer Forum will investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate action to ensure a fair resolution.

Hi,

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction and frustration regarding the persistent calls and unauthorized activation of services from Shine.com. Despite my repeated requests to refrain from initiating any services and to refund the amount I have paid ((INR 33, 494), I continue to be subjected to relentless calls and mental harassment.

It is imperative to emphasize that I have made my stance abundantly clear on numerous occasions that I do not wish to proceed with the services offered by Shine.com and that I expect a full refund of the amount I have paid. However, these requests have fallen on deaf ears, and instead, I am being subjected to continuous pressure to commence the services against my will.

Furthermore, I was appalled to discover that today, despite my explicit refusal and insistence on a refund, my services were activated without my consent. This unauthorized activation not only disregards my explicit instructions but also violates my rights as a consumer.

I am deeply disturbed by the blatant disregard for my preferences and the persistent attempts to coerce me into accepting services that I have clearly declined. Such behavior amounts to harassment and is wholly unacceptable.

I demand immediate action to rectify this situation, including:

1)Ceasing all further calls and communications attempting to initiate services.
2)Immediately deactivating any services that have been activated without my consent.
3)Initiating the process for a full refund of the amount paid for the services.

I expect a prompt and satisfactory resolution to this matter. Failure to do so will leave me with no choice but to explore further legal options to protect my rights as a consumer.

I trust that you will take this matter seriously and take the necessary steps to address my concerns without delay.
