SUBJECT: SERVICE FRAUDULENCE: SHINE.COM/ HINDUSTAN TIMES’ JOB PORTAL
This is w.r.t. the inconspicuous and misleading services of Shine.com.
After days of persuasion from their employee Mr.Harshid, I finally agreed to take up "Application Highlighter" on 18.01.2021. He told me not to worry since it is a reputed job portal under Hindustan Times.
He also told me that I will have Mr.Pankaj as a Personal Relationship Manager who will assist me through until I get on to a job.
I therefore paid 3027/- after negotiating from 3600/-. Hoping it was a fair deal.
Soon after that I got a call from Mr.Pankaj saying he will be assisting me and then went on to say that I should apply for Career Assessment Test for Rs.4000/- and that if I don’t take up this test based on my profile, the previous service that I just took will be of no use. This CAT, will be attached to my resume and application while submitting for job prospects basis on which I will get a telephonic call first followed by interview and that I should be ready within 2 hrs of their intimation.
Sounding something not right, I had already sent an email to their mail id [protected]@shine.com notifying my displeasure on this additional payment.
Since I had already paid the initial amount, after much debate and assurance, I finally agreed to pay 3717/- for the second service too. After I took up the test, the service got closed. I have no access to the REPORT OR CERTIFICATE whatsoever. What do I do after taking the test!!!
It is a COMPLETE TRAP..
Through this complaint letter, I wish to alert all the aspiring job seekers to be aware of this TRAP and not fall prey and be sorry later like the thousands of job seekers who were trapped by their false promises.
Till date the so called escalation team has not even bothered to speak to me despite so many calls. They just say we cannot refund your money. This is complete apathy! For they know they will still survive and get many more prey in the job market.
