ShopClues.com — Fake and counterfeit products being sold

Order Number: 44580949 for Xiaomi Piston Headphones I ordered Xiaomi Piston Headphones from Shopclues. The product was listed at Rs.699 and a 57% discount was offered on the product. The seller "lovelydeals" also claimed 100% satisfaction on the product. While there were first copy products on Shopclues, the respective sellers made sure that they add "First Copy", Original Equivalent Product" for these cheap and fake products so that consumers know what they are buying. The landing page of the product which I bought (http://www.shopclues.com/original-brand-xiaomi-piston-headphones-stereo-3.5mm-jack-bass-in-ear-for-mp3-player-noise-isolating-...⇄ didn't have any such indications. Now that the product was delivered, I immediately realised that it's a cheap counterfeit product. The sound quality was pathetic (I would say pain in the ear to be frank). The earpiece was scratched as well. I decided to return the earphones as there was no point in using them. I called up the customer care number and they claimed that the product is as stated in the description. They didn't even care to acknowledge that it was a fake product being sold as an original item. After several rounds of arguments, they were ready to accept a return of the product. The return policy at Shopclues says, "If our reverse pickup service is not available on your address, we will ask you to dispatch the product. The courier charges will be reimbursed by us". To my surprise, they said in an email (Request #2585475) that they will not reimburse the courier charges that I have to bear to send the product back to the seller. I am sending the product back to the seller today and I hardly believe that they will accept the return. I also tried to add a review for the product so that potential buyers do not fall prey to the incorrect claims made by the seller. You won't believe, I am still not able to add a feedback for the product. I raised a ticket on the website for this (Request #2585562) a week back but I still don't see any reviews on the product page. This is a clear case of the website not only cheating customers but also trying to safeguard dishonest sellers. I am not sure I am not buying anything from Shopclues anymore and would make sure my friends and relatives don't either.
