Display Replacement request not completed after 50+ days

I am a customer of POCO and own a POCO F4 5G smartphone, purchased with a valid manufacturer warranty.

Iam using Xiaomi 12 pro mobile recently it got hyper os 2.0 i didn't update my self why because iam aware about greenline issues that's why but one fine day when I sleep it was updated automatically then now in display greenline was appeared . In my mobile there is no single scratch. But in service centre they are asking bill for approval but the bill was not available this mobile is gifted by my friend now he is no more but I know first activation date of device even I have all content of the box even manual too . No one can put bill after warranty period of 1 year but they are demanding and ignore to change display free of cost . The only problem occurs after software updates caused by the brand only without my permission now behave very rudely and not even give response so kindly request to help us .

    We ordered an Mi TV on Amazon on 27.09.2024.

    We received the TV at our location (Villipakkam) on 04.10.2024.

    The technician visited our location for installation on 15.10.2024, which was after the expiration of the replacement period stated on Amazon.

    After installation, we noticed the TV has a display and motherboard issue (the screen has bubbles).

    The technician filed a false complaint with Mi customer service, stating that the customer installed the TV themselves.

    We have called customer care multiple times to explain the situation clearly and request a replacement. However, they are unwilling to provide either a replacement or service.

    Please take this complaint seriously and advise us on further steps.

      Dear Sir,

      I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the Xiaomi India (MI) service provided regarding my 49 inches MI-TV Panel Damage and faulty Motherboard. Need you help on this and request for immediate action.

      I had booked an appointment regarding my MI TV 49" motherboard.
      My 1st Service Request:
      Date: 12th August 2024
      Service Request Number: TVIN[protected]
      Issue: TV not turning on

      1st Engineer visited on 13th August 2024 and identified a motherboard problem and I have paid 50% in advance and ordered for a new Motherboard and balance amount paid on 15th Aug’24. I have paid total Rs. 6604/- for the new motherboard.

      The engineer name “Amaan Ali Khan” Mobile no.- [protected] visited at my home on 15th August 2024 with the new motherboard. After installation, we noticed that colours are spreading over the screen. I have shared the video and photo for evidence with the 1st engineer. He advised me to raise a new complaint again for the replacement of motherboard. At that time my TV screen / panel was not broken. I have complaint again for the motherboard replacement with the below details:

      The second engineer name “Sumit” mobile no.[protected] visited at my home on 16th Aug'24 to check the issue but problem not resolved, and my TV Panel got broken by the 2nd engineer while hanging TV on the Wall and there were black dark spots on the screen (right side). My wife told him also about the spot and screen damage. The engineer said that there is the motherboard issue, and the black spots would be resolved with the new motherboard replacement. but till today neither the motherboard has been replaced nor i have received any response from Xiaomi grievance team. I have a big loss also of screen damage.
      I have been trying to contact the engineer- Sumit, but he is not answering my calls.
      I am deeply concerned about the lack of resolution and the damage caused of my TV Panel. I would appreciate your prompt action and help me to recover my loss.

        Dear Xiaomi India,

        I am writing to formally lodge a complaint about the extremely poor service and unprofessional behavior I have encountered at your service center. Despite my repeated attempts to get my phone repaired, I have been continuously ignored, delayed, and subjected to unprofessional conduct by your staff. Below is a detailed account of my experience.

        Initial Visit (Sunday and Monday)
        On Sunday night, my phone switched off due to a drained battery. I visited your service center the next day, and upon arriving, the technician greeted me with a sarcastic smile when I politely greeted him. On this visit, there was another customer present, and we both had the same model of phone in different colors (mine was white, his was black). When it became apparent that neither o[censored]s were interested in the technician's offer, he disappeared to the back and eventually told me bluntly that my phone wasn’t charging.

        I explained that two days earlier, I had been in an accident and that the battery likely drained as a result. The technician then instructed his junior to bring him a 6-ampere cable, supposedly the only one compatible with my phone. However, despite this, he did not conduct any proper Quality Check (QC) on my device. He explained that since my phone was on EMI, a proper QC could not be done, which I found unacceptable. I was left waiting from 4:30 PM until 6:10 PM, only after repeatedly requesting the staff to collect my phone. To add to my frustration, I witnessed a staff member arguing with another customer who eventually had to threaten them with a consumer court complaint to get service.

        After paying over ₹8, 000, this was my first time experiencing such a disappointing level of service. If there are any voice recordings available from your CCTV cameras, they can be used to verify my complaint and find out the truth. I am confident in my memory, and as someone working in the US healthcare industry, I rely on my attention to detail every day.

        Follow-up Visit (Monday, 07/10/2024)
        I returned to the service center on Monday. This time, the technician collected my phone without delay but stated falsely that the motherboard was damaged. When I challenged this, he still printed an old slip and asked me to return the next day, assuring me that he would do the best he could to resolve the issue. Despite his promises, I was not confident given the service I had already received.

        Ignored Calls and Unprofessional Conduct
        On Tuesday, after returning from my relatives' place in Meerut, I called the service center at 5:00 PM. A staff member picked up the call but sounded unsure and promised to call me back within five minutes. No call came. I called again at 5:30 PM, and a male staff member answered. He asked for details about the phone, checked with others at the service center, and again promised a call within 20-25 minutes. Again, no response.

        Between 6:20 PM and 6:40 PM, I made two more calls, each time with the same empty promises but no resolution. Over the past five days, I have made multiple attempts to get in touch with the service center, only for my calls to be ignored or answered after 5, 8, or even 10 attempts. When they finally do pick up, the attitude is shockingly dismissive and unprofessional. I was even told, "If you need it done early, you can complain to the consumer forum; it's your choice," when I tried to emphasize the urgency of my request.

        I find this treatment appalling. It is unprofessional to make customers feel neglected and unimportant, especially after spending so much time and money. I have no intention of paying any more for repairs or services. I simply expect my phone to be returned to me in working condition, as promised. If this issue is not resolved immediately, I will be forced to pursue legal action and file a formal complaint with the consumer forum.

        It is clear that the service center is prioritizing its revenue and incentives over customer satisfaction, and this kind of treatment cannot continue unchecked. I expect a prompt and satisfactory resolution without any further delays or excuses.

          I bought a Xiaomi 14 Mobile phone on[protected] through Amazon. It was advertised during the product launch and still on Xiaomi's website, and Mi Store (app) that this phone has a 75mm floating telephoto lens. After observing severe quality loss in photos taken with this said 75mm telephoto lens, I grew skeptical about the lens and started investigating. On changing the focal length (zoom) manually, it was observed that the main camera shifts to the telephoto lens at a lower focal length than what was advertised by Xiaomi. The 75mm focal length was at 3.2x magnification while the phone actually switches to the telephoto lens at 2.6x i.e. at 62mm. Hence, this 75mm was confirmed to be a digital crop of the 62mm lens. This discrepancy is a clear case of misleading advertising, breaching consumer trust and potentially deceiving customers (including me) into purchasing the product based on false information.

          This matter was taken up with Xiaomi's executives by requesting a call back through the Xiaomi Services+ app but neither a resolution nor a convincing reply was received from them. This device was then taken to a Xiaomi showroom and also to a Service Centre to register and escalate the issue but there was no response from them.

          Reasons for Complaint:
          1. False and misleading advertising, violating consumer protection laws
          2. Breach of contract: discrepancy between advertised and actual product specifications
          3. Unfair trading practice: intentionally deceiving customers to make purchasing decisions
          4. Lack of transparency: failure to provide accurate product information
          5. Financial loss: purchased based on false advertising, affecting value for money.
          6. Disappointment and frustration due to unmet expectations
          7. Loss of trust: compromised faith in Xiaomi's brand and advertising.
          8. Unfulfilled needs: the actual camera specifications do not meet my requirements

          Any documentation can be presented upon request.

          1. Suitable compensation for the losses I faced and for the scam I fell into.

              He informed that we suggest our users not to install latest updates once the phone is 2 years old.

                  Order placed and payment made on 21st July 2024. There was OTP issues during delivery time, which i have intimated to their customer care and requested to change the number for OTP for which they can do verification as they want.

                  They mentioned it cannot be possible which is why product was returned without delivery. Then i place and new order, made a fresh payment, got the order delivered.

                  Now for the returned order, even after multiple follow ups they are not refunding my money back. In addition to this they are not even giving me date by which they will process. Its already been more than 20 days.

                  When i try to talk with customer service they do not have any idea for the refund processing, they just give the pre-defined copy paste replies. I have not seen such pathetic customer service till date and hope won't see in future as well.

                    I have ordered, Earphones, Order no. [protected], on 27/07/2024, which was to be deliver by 31/07/2024, but not delivered. I raised complaint for it on 01/08/02024, and Xiaomi promised me to deliver it by 05/08/2024 positively, but Xiaomi again failed in its commitment. I again complained on 06/08/2024 for the same. Xiaomi again promised me to update on this but no update given. I again complaint on web page and promised for resolve it by 09/08/2024. After that I register my voice on Grievance - Three Level Escalation Matrix page with Grievance request with token number G[protected] on August 07, 2024, at 10:50:04 IST. After that my order number [protected], Mi Earphones Basic (with in-built mic) Black, was delivered on 07/08/2024, and it was faulty and not working. I again register my complaint on service portal where I was advised to visit to service center for replacement with prior booking appointment. I done the same, service token number was M8064489 for 09/08/2024 between 10:am to 12:00pm. I taken off form my work and visited to service center but they have not attended my complaint and told me that our timing is start form 10:30am. At 10:30 they register my service order and gave me service order slip and in formed me that it will be replaced but no committed date is on slip. They verbal saying that it may take from 3 to 4 days. Parallelly I received my Grievance request with token number G[protected] was closed. Service center is saying to visit again to check status, which will need again take me off from my work. They have MI store in their nearby, they can arrange immediate it from there, but not doing. I am very disappointed. All e-shopping sites providing solution in very fast manner at home only without visiting anywhere. But Xiaomi making joke with customers without taking care of their time. I need correct product or my money back as soon as possible. I am wasting my time in this since last 15days.
