Shree Maruti Courier Service — parcel sent by my parents

This is my 2nd complaint against maruti couriers, sec 45 gurgaon. The first complaint was filed yesterday. After filing the first complaint & followig up with them repeatedly for an undelivered parcel from vadodara which was lying with them for the last 5 days, they finally sent a guy to deliver the parcel at our place yesterday evening. The parcel contained food items with a short shelf life.

The vadodara branch informed my parents who had sent the parcel that mice had damaged the parcel & that's why it was not delivered. My father had packed it with lot of effort & he doubted if mice could break through his packing. So, he told them to deliver the parcel as it is without repacking. He also informed them that i would open the parcel in front of the delivery guy & if the contents were eaten up, i would return the parcel as it is. The vadodara branch agreed to this arrangement.

When their guy from sec-45, gurgaon branch came to deliver it, i could see that they had wrapped it up neatly & the damage was not visible at all. After a lot of argument with the delivery guy who vehemently refused to allow me to open the parcel in front of him & repeatedly threatened me to take it back, when the vadodara branch intervened, he finally allowed me to open the parcel in front of him,. It was clearly eaten up by mice from inside. I refused to accept it & he was forced to take it back. However, before returning it back, i took a pic of the damage. Unfortunately, can't upload the pic as the file size is big.

My father had spent more to send the package by air cargo so that it doesn't get damaged. He had chosen maruti couriers as it was a big name despite being more expensive than other couriers. And look at their attitude! While the package was lying with them for the last 5 days, they did not even bother to call us up or inform us of the damage. Not just that, they were trying to make a fool out o[censored]s by repacking the package & passing it off as undamaged.

They haven't refunded my father the amount of the product as well as the service charge paid to them as yet.

And even if they do so, how will they refund my old father's effort who stood in the queue for more than an hour to purchase the goods which were sent through them? And can they refund the love of old people who had put in a lot of effort in selecting & packing the goods so that their loved ones can enjoy their diwali even more? Will they be able to refund the cost of the time & effort involved in visiting their vadodara branch again & again to follow up? And the time involved in filing this complaint against them?

Such irresponsible behaviour needs to be strictly dealt with!
