[Resolved] Shriram City — Illegally charging Huge amount of IRS 4452/ for one Furniture loan ECS bounce | |||
A COMPLAIN LETTER TO SHIRAMCITY, Hyderabad (Ameerpet Branch) Dear Customer Care<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Complain Section. Shriramcity Finance Ref: Agreement No. : NRFLART 0702203 I would like to inform you that on 18th Nov-13, I have suddenly receiveda sms in my mobile no: [protected], that I have to pay Rs. 4452 (EMI, ODC, BC, etc.) as on 31st of Oct. 2013 (Agreement No. : NRFLART 0702203). I was astonished as I had no prior information regarding this and whenI inquired in your Eragadda Branch Branch Office (Loan section), Ms.Prasanna informed that my last EMI of Rs. 1227 got dishonored in Oct.2007 (!!!) of one the furniture loan. When contacted Ameerpet Loan division, Branch Manager, Mr. R. PrasadRao, directly on his cellphone got from other branch, he behaved very badly (bydisconnecting phone frequently, shouting and was always talking in Telegu whileI humbly requested him to talk in English or Hindi as I don't know Telegu) andhe told me that I have to pay the amount Rs. 4010 and he also told that he hasobliged me by not adding any legal charges there! It is very astonishing that 2007 dishonored EMI has not beeninformed to me for last six years (!!) either by email or by calling me or bypost and so much additional charges almost triple (!!) has been levied withoutany prior intimation! It is really unacceptable from a reputed company like youto do such unprofessional act and suddenly so much additional charges has beenput. I accept that it has been a mistake on my part that the EMI hasbeen dishonored but the company (Shriramcity Finance) also has aliability to inform the customer before incurring this kind of abnormalcharges. I am ready to pay off the EMI of Rs. 1227/- if you send a person withproper documents but I am certainly not ready to pay this huge extra amountwhen I was not informed in written and a mere sms, after six years can not be aprofessional intimation from your company! With reference to my 1st letter on Nov. 23rd-13, your Service manager, Mr. Prasad Rao called me next day and asked me to pay 50% of your demandedamount, i.e. IRS 2500/- and also informed me that my second ECS actually gotbounced initially. It is more to your company's failure to communicate me onthe right time as it was the 2nd ECS and without any information you havecollected several ECS afterwards. All on a sudden you have remembered this'cheque bounce' and accordingly demanded the amount. I am ready to pay the amount of the 2nd 'bounced ECS' (IRS 1227 as you said) andthe bounce charges which can not be more than maximum IRS 500/- . I am notready to pay any late payment fees as I was not informed at all in any modewhile all rest of the ECS your company have collected on time smoothly!!
