My aunt was admitted in the hospital on 12th december was kept in icu.
Bill was given for payment by the hospital.
Mat and med a amount was mentioned i requested for a detailed break up about the same to the billing dept response was meet the sister or nurse in icu for the same.
Then we were told that patient can be discharged today and come for final billing, detailed explanation and refund between wednesday and saturday no staff available.
Now the question arises;
1. If the billings dept don't have details then how come the amout gets decided?
2. During admission patients are been told to deposit amount then and there itself no second opinion upon the situation then why can't the same apply to the hospital during the discharge of patients?
3. Why should the customer or patients suffer if you are short staffed?
4. On the notice board located adjacent to billing counter etiquettes expected from patients mentioned. Then what about should the patients expect from the hospital management if they are not even able to give clarification about any thing or any process.?
