Order IDs - [protected] and [protected]
This is regarding Order IDs mentioned above. I had ordered these products on 11/11/14. These purchases were successfully done but I still couldn't see Orders in my Order List. So I called up Customer Care department of Snapdeal from where I received these Order IDs. However I was told that there was a "TECHNICAL GLITCH" on snapdeal side that caused my orders to be in limbo. I was told that these orders will be cancelled because of THEIR system error.
For Order ID - [protected], I was charged on my credit card. When I sent them follow up emails but received only their auto replies. When I called up customer care on 19th November, the executive said that a refund request against Order ID - [protected] had been sent to Credit Card bank on 11th November itself but I still see the amount as debited in my credit card statement.
This is a serious breach of contract on Snapdeal side since they offered a price and I was even charged for that order but I have still not received the product.
1. How can they process a refund request without my consent even if I have successfully placed the order?
2. How can they simply say, it was a "TECHNICAL GLITCH" on their side so my order will be cancelled? Isn't this a marketing gimmick to offer deals to customer but not actually deliver product at marketed price? This needs to be controlled.
3. I believe in such cases they are bound to deliver the product against the order. They cannot simply use customer's money for these many days and tell lies that refund request has been made already.
I simply want to say that if they have charged me for something, they have to fulfill their commitment.
Please suggest me further steps that I can take against such a fraudulent company.
