[Resolved] Snapdeal.com — privacy concern - need to delete/deactivate account | |
Someone has misused my email id to create snapdeal account, now this account has my email id and that person's mobile# as registered. And snapdeal has a weird policy that they do not allow change of registered email id and phone number by any means and for any reason. And they donot provide any way to delete/deactivate snapdeal account. I wrote to their customer care at [protected]@snapdeal.com, 2-3 times (Reference number:[protected] but got the following response always... "we are unable to change/delete the email address associated with your snapdeal account. We value our customer's security and privacy. Keeping this in mind, we do not allow any change/delete in the email address associated with an account." I don't know what kind of customer security & privacy they are talking about, because for me it's a privacy breach. On top of that - when snapdeal someone register on snapdeal, they don't have any process to validate the ownership of email before activation of account, which must be there as they don't allow change of email id later as per their policy. I am getting spam mails, all about this account and don't want to have this account active. I request to take action to have snapdeal delete/deactivate this account permanently. Thanks.
