Dear Kunal Bahl I congratulate you for creating an e-commerce giant second to none in terms of variety of products available at your snapdeal. And yes I said "your" snapdeal as it is nowhere close to be regarded as "our" snapdeal. I know you must be quite a busy man running such a big e-commerce business. But whatever time you get for yourself, do you ever ponder upon the things you ought to achieve and are you able to do so. And I don't mean in monetary terms of course. Have you been able to win people's trust in you? Do they regard snapdeal as a safe place to buy from? Internet is full of negative reviews of snapdeal, and now I believe, rightly so. I ordered a laptop from snapdeal worth Rs 77, 940 from your snapdeal. And the reason was attractive description of the product. Specifications included 64gb ram (as evident from attachments of provided). But, the product I received had only 8 gb of ram. So I requested for a refund. Reverse pickup was done on 16th September and expected date of refund was 20th of September. But however, I didn't receive any refund by 20th as product hadn't reached snapdeal warehouse yet!! Today I got the confirmation that product has been received at snapdeal warehouse and once the quality checkup has been done my refund should be initiated. Within 30 minutes I received another sms from snapdeal mentioning that the product didn't meet quality checkup criteria so refund will not be processed, and the product will be shipped back to you!!! Refund Request Closed!! I called snapdeal customer care regarding the same. He told me that you returned product because of wrong description but as we can see on our system, description is correct. So your 77, 940 won't be refunded. Truth is description has been rectified only after I requested a refund. Moreover sir, even before the product was delivered to me, I had some doubts regarding description. I emailed snapdeal to please confirm if the specifications mentioned are correct or not. If incorrect I could have cancelled my order then, and saved all this pain. But your team reassured me that descriptions mentioned on snapdeal are always correct, and if by any chance they are wrong, refund is a bread and butter procees. Getting reassurance from snapdeal, and having faith in then, I didn't cancel my order then. But after all this pain, the kind of response I am getting from snapdeal is hurting me like hell. Belonging to a middle class family, Rs 77, 940 mean a lot to me. Buying something worth this much amount from an e-commerce site means I have a lot of faith in them. Why kunal? Why you have to do this? The product wasn't damaged, nor used, just checked for specifications and returned. But still you guys tried to come up with some excuse for not refunding money.
