C810 — Delay in servicing of mobile phone

I had given my 12 months old Spice 810 Color mobile phone for service. Earphone symbol was appearing on display which was making unable to atten any call. the handset was getting swithced off automatically. I have given my handset to your authorised service centre i.e. Hot Spots Mobicare, Gandhinagar, Bangalore on 23.06.2009. I was told that, estimate will be given on the next day if it require major service. till now I have not received any call from your office. When I contacted Hotspot, they are not responsing properly and saying it will take another one more week. Do you think a person can manage without mobile for 2-3 weeks at the present market situation. Please let me know whether I have to forget my Spice Mobile and go for another new handset

I submitted my spice mobile to Hotspot Spice Service Centre, gzb, on 10th August 09
Mobile was having small Keypad problem.
They told that they recquire 1 week time for getting it repaired.
Without informing me they send my set to noida service centre.
After that they keep on postponding the date of receiving.
Today(13-Oct) after more than a month, I didnt got my set back.
I have visited centre more than 7 times and was ready to receive set even if it was unrepaired.
Pawan at HOTSPOT Spice service centre Gzb behaved very rudely with us.
It's my humble request to you to take strict action against the service centre and the man particularly in getting my set back.

I submitted it to the Spice Service Center, M/S Krishna Service Centre Dausa (Raj) Still my mobile is in the service center. ([protected]) They Dont want to replace my phone . Please Solve my problem otherwise I have to lodge a complaint in Consumer Court.

I had bought a Spice MI 280 handset dual sim in Feb 2012. The camera stopped working in November 2012.I went to the Spice mobile service centre located in Lucknow, Hazratganj. The service technician there broke the phone screen and never accepted his fault and despite that he misbehaved with me. I asked him to repair and camera and replace the screen but he never did so. Kindly look into the matter as soon as possible.

I HAD PURCHASED SPICE S 585 MOBILE, IS IN WARRENTY PERIOD, BUT IT WAS HAVING SOME PROBLEM . I HAD GIVEN IT TO SPICE SERVICE CENTER, AFTER 1 MONTH COMPANY HAS REPLACED IT BY OLD MOBILE INSTEAD OF MY NEW MOBILE. THIS IS NOT FARE.

I purchased Spice Mi410 handset from Spice (saholic) site. On receiving the handset I found that the phone restarts randomly and back button does not work properly. I upgraded OS from android v2.2 to v2.3 from official upgrade provided by Spice. Restart problem got solved but back button problem remained constant. I gave my handset for repair to Spice authorized center (Noble Services Pimpri Pune 18) on 03 Dec 2011 Till Date (19 Jan 2012) I have not received the handset back. Everytime I'm assured of new dates, but handset is not delivered. Anyone knows what needs to be done in such case? They are not giving handset nor the money. I have purchased Spice D-88 mobile 6 months back. Last month it suddenly started getting problem of charging. So i have given the mobile to Hotspot (Mr.Khalid is the contact person) which is named as authorized service center of Spice. 1st week they have given the reason that they are working on it. 2nd week they told we are not able to repair, need to send the handset to delhi and it will take 15 days. When i get back after 15 days, still mobile has not been back from Delhi. On that day i met with person Mr. Abhishek who is heading the service center. He again tell me to come after 2-3 days. After 3rd day they have given a new reason that handset is not repairable, so they will provide me replacement. The replacement they have provided is in so bad condition compared to which i have given for repairing. In this way they are cheating customers. What necessary action should be taken against this kind of cheaters.

I have purchased Spice X-1 3 months back. Last month it suddenly started getting problem in internet connection, when i use to open internet connection by Opera Mini i use to get a message "Error Not enough memory" i removed all my games but my problem was not fixed. I wanted to remove Opera V4.0 so that i can install new Opera V4.2 but it does not allowed me to do so.
What can i do now Plz suggest me some idea.

Whatever they say about D88 is absolutely alright. I wud like to add some more -

1. you will get missed sms.
2. Call conferencing feature does not work at all from day 1
3. Quality of incoming audio is pathetic.
4. Battery drains off very fast.

and many more problems.
I have bought this mobile after one year of saving and now stuck up on this nasty instrument.

I am compelled to address you the following legal notice;

That, I had purchased a Mobile Hand Set imported and marketed by your company M/s Spice Mobiles Ltd. The Hand Set was particularly known as Spice D88n. The Hand Set was first purchased by me from your Dealer M/s Magic Mobile, Sitabuldi, Nagpur on 8th of July, 2008.

That, from the very first day of purchase, the Hand Set experienced various problems some of which are as under;

a) The Phone in CDMA Network always failed to give delivery reports even when the option was selected. This was a regular feature and delivery reports were received only as exceptions rather than rule.

b) Another very grave defect in the Hand Set was "mistaken ID". Owing to this defect in the Phone Hand Set, message sent by person "A" was displayed under the name of person "B" and regularly the messages from one sender used to get mixed with that of other people in the Phone Book.

c) Similarly, the Hand Set has an uncanny defect of not displaying the received SMS. Almost more than half of the SMS failed to show any text in the Inbox. Moreover, some of the messages which remained visible earlier also turned blank after some time.
d) The Phone also suffers from weak Networks in both CDMA and GSM formats and there is continuous breakage in voice and the audibility of voice especially in GSM was very bad. The outgoing voice quality is also very bad normally and gets terrible with the usage of the hands free device that is provided with the handset by you.

e) The handset has been provided with the hands free (loudspeaker) option and the same could not have been worse. The quality of sound in the hands free mode is totally awful and one can barely hear the other person properly.

f) As if the above problems were less, the phone used to hang at least once in 2 days and then the phone used to restart automatically after sometime.

That as mentioned at the beginning of the notice, as these problems were identified almost on day one, I approached your authorized Service center at "Spicy Solutions", B 10 Anjuman Complex SADAR NAGPUR, where Mr. Anand Sahani agreed to give me a D.O.A requisition whereby my first phone was replaced with a new one. However the horror of "Spice" continued and all these problems pertained and I was given another D.O.A by your service center and the phone was replaced for the second time again, but the problems in the phone were too many to be resolved and the defects with the phone were never rectified. That, the frequency of the phone getting hanged as described earlier is increasing every day and I had been to Mr. Anand Sahani for redressal of my grievances. Upon this, he refused to give another DOA requisition but said that he upgraded the software in the phone, but in effect, the phone still full of all the above defects, and in fact has only worsened with the said up gradation.

That, I had been to New Delhi in relation to my professional work from 23rd of August, 2008 to 26th of August, 2008. The phone continuously malfunctioned during this period and I lost many important calls especially on the GSM Network. This has caused serious prejudice to my work and also has tremendously increased my bills in the roaming. The phone was giving so much trouble that I ultimately had to purchase another hand set from New Delhi so as to continue using my mobile number.

I have absolutely no iota of doubt that the mobile hand set being sold by you is absolutely defective and that even though you are in complete knowledge of this fact, still you are openly selling the same in the market.

The above acts on your part are a classic example of deficiency in service and you can be held liable for the same before the District Consumer Forum, Nagpur.

I therefore, call upon you to immediately arrange to refund the entire value of the phone which is Rs. 6825/- (Rs. Six Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty Five Only) that is paid by me, failing which I shall be constrained to exercise my legal rights and sue you before the Hon'ble District Consumers Forum, Nagpur. You may be warned that in the event of such dispute being filed against you, I shall also be entitled to claim damages and compensation over the actual value of the phone.

Any such unpleasant action shall be entirely at your cost.

I had bought Spice D88n IME [protected] oin Sept 2008 from Hot Spot. From very begining, this handset is giving me problem. Keys does not work. Handset get hang for 7-8 hrs and then start working. It was sent 6 times to service centre. Each time with assurance that this problem would not repeat. But of no use. Now this problem is occuring thrice a week. how could one manage to work with this handset. Its just 6 months old fone and i had bought with carepack also. Now i want replacement of this model as i am sick of going to hot spot again and again. But they are refusing to replace the model. It is still lying in service centre.

I totally agree with the complain, as I am also the sufferer.

I had also bought D88n & from first day it is giving some kind of weired problems, lacks basic functionality to attend calls receive/send & store messages.

1) SMS'es come as blank ( even though you know that the message was not blank )
2) if you delete one sms from the inbox all other sms'es get mixed (i.e you will see one sender with the message content of another, some messages get their contents completly blank.)
3) Inbult Opera mini & java applications do not work on GPRS or CDMA.
4) Phone will look as if in standby mode (normal no call mode) but will not show any signs of calls coming, the callers will hear ringback tone & consider that you are not answering.

Hi. I have been using Spice S710 since last 3 months.. And this is the worst mobile phone i have ever used and seen. It seems its software is not properly tested.. I dont know How spice people can launch such a phone in the market which needs a lot of testing and quality checks. Spice is harming its reputation on its own when people really try to switch to something else other than Nokia and Sont ericsson.
I never know when my playing list is not there in the phone. i Send SMS to a different number and it sometimes show an other number. Camera has a poor quality as compared to what they commit.
Poorest software i have ever seen. A lot of other problems are also there. Would never use any of the spice phones again.
And would advice spice people to properly test ur softwares before launching them into the market just to build some rapport in this field.

This is to bring my concern into your notice that 15 days back I purchased one D88 gold spice mobile from a hotspot showroom in najafgarh .All of a sudden it stopped working and it doesn't even start, the screen is black .I went to the dealer and he is saying that he cant do anything and I have to go the service center in Tagore garden.

I am wondering if you could help me in getting a new mobile handset. I have the bills with me .

I had bought Spice D-88n in February 2009 and very soon it has started giving problems like:
- Incoming calls disconnect automatically.
- SMS sent are usually shown as not sent.
- It gets hanged every week.
- Battery back up is very poor.
- It is impossible to attend a call continuosly for more that 5 mins. call gets disconnected automatically.
- Poor voice quality.

I puchased new spice d 88 handset, but iam shocked to see the low grade software used in the mobile. the camera says its 1.3 mega pixels whereas any one can make out by taking pictures its not 1.3 pixels. i compared with one of nokia mobile with 1.3 and another one sony ericsson 1.3 mega pixels camera. the worst quality of image was shown by spice d 88. on the other hand when ever i dial number from cdma as soon as call is conected i am getting a un known number on hold!!! actually when i accept this new incoming call it shows no numer and finally both the calls get disconnected. and when i call back on this unknown number i get note - no number to dial!! what the hell is this. it happens all the time whenever i am dialing from cdma. whereas gsm is fine!
can any one help me out about where and to whome contact fro upgrading the software or to change the handset!!!

I have purchased D-88 gold spice mobile handset. I am also experiencing prblem relating to charging of mobile, heating of mobile during call within 15 days of purchase. After one week, It got totally out of order (dead). When I gave it to service centre, they promised to get it repaired within 15 days. But even after 1 month they have not given mobile back. Dear Sir/Madam,

I am an owner of a dual sim Spice mobile phone of your company number d88 purchased on[protected]. Since the time i have bought the phone I am experiencing problems in CDMA. If I send across text messages 2 out of three meassages fail to reach the recepients and the listener is unable to hear my voice completely every 30 seconds. My usage is more frequent with the GSM technology so it was after four months that i realized that there was a problem with CDMA. I gave my mobile phone for service at Krishna Enterprise, Ellora Park, Baroda. My phone was kept for two days and i was reported that there is a problem in the software of my phone. The problem persisted. I used the phone for a month after it came back from servicing and observed that the problem continued. Due to this I contacted the service center again. they conveyed me that it will take 25 days to solve the problem as it was needed to be sent at Ahmedabad. I got back my phone after a month. i was told that the motherboard was changed so now i will not experience any problem. But the problem continued. I was travelling so was unable to give back the phone to Krishna Enterprise. Since[protected] past three months and four days my phone is with the service center. They are giving vague and baseless answers which I am unable to digest. I have suffered a lot due to this phone trouble. I want my money back which I have invested in purchasing this phone. I do not know whom to trust because i was a victim of attractive advertisements and since past three months the service center has not called me back for my phone.
Please provide an explanation for the trouble caused to me and return my money.
I request you to treat this on urgent basis.

That, I had purchased a Mobile Hand Set known as Spice D88N IMEI NO. [protected] from a local dealer M/s.Manjit Telecom, SCO-191, Radha Swami Road, Opp.Jain School, Jamalpur, Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana (Contact person : Mr.Manjit, Cell Phone: [protected]) on October 07, 2008 vide Cash Memo No.1243.

That, from the very first day of purchase, the Hand Set experienced various problems some of which are as under;

a) The Phone in CDMA Network always failed to give delivery reports even when the option was selected. This was a regular feature and delivery reports were received only as exceptions rather than rule.

b) Another very grave defect in the Hand Set was "mistaken ID". Owing to this defect in the Phone Hand Set, message sent by person "A" was displayed under the name of person "B" and regularly the messages from one sender used to get mixed with that of other people in the Phone Book.

c) Similarly, the Hand Set has an uncanny defect of not displaying the received SMS. Almost more than half of the SMS failed to show any text in the Inbox. Moreover, some of the messages which remained visible earlier also turned blank after some time.
d) The Phone also suffers from weak Networks in both CDMA and GSM formats and there is continuous breakage in voice and the audibility of voice especially in GSM was very bad. The outgoing voice quality is also very bad normally and gets terrible with the usage of the hands free device that is provided with the handset by you.

e) As if the above problems were less, the phone used to hang at least once in 2 days and then the phone used to restart automatically after sometime.

That as mentioned at the beginning, as these problems were identified almost on day one, I approached your authorized Service center in August, 2009 with a copy of purchase bill at M/s.Darshan Watch Co., 71, Kamla Nehru Market, Near Railway Station, Ludhiana-141 008, Mobile:[protected] where Mr.Arwinder Singh and Service Engineer Mr.Inderpal Singh asked me to leave the mobile with them for 2-3 days for checking its fault and repair etc. After the required period of 2-3 days I collected my mobile phone and the very same date I noticed that the mobile was delivered to me without doing anything to it i.e. without any repair. I again approached to them and this time they told us that the mobile set will be sent to Chandigarh for repair and it will take around a week. They took the mobile set and issued me a Job Sheet Number 10920 dated 03.10.2009. In between, I was personally in touch with the Area Sales Manager of Spice Mobiles Mr.Sandeep Kaul at his mobile phone number : [protected] on this issue. After one week, I called up M/s.Darshan Watch Co. to get my mobile phone but I was informed that it will take another one week. After two weeks, when I contacted at the said service centre, it was informed to us the they have received the mobile duly repaired. We were shocked when M/s.Darshan Watch Company tried to hadover me a D88N mobile phone of somebody else with an explanation that my mobile set was unrepairable and therefore the company has exchanged it with a similar running condition of mobile phone available with them. I refused to accept and called up Mr.Sandeep Kaul on this issue. Mr.Sandeep Kaul assured us that he will get the mobile phone exchanged with the new one. But sorry to inform you that till today, I have not even received my mobile phone duly repaired, what to say of the new one. Moreover, inspite of my repeated calls, I am not getting any concrete reply either from Mr.Darshan Watch Co. or Mr.Sandeep Kaul. Today, I again called up Mr.Sandeep Kaul and he informed me that the new mobile phone towards exchange has been despatched from Delhi today and I should contact him again by Monday i.e. 09.11.2009.

In view of above, I request you to kindly either refund me the sum of Rs.7, 300/- (Rs.Seven thousand Three hundred only) that I have paid to buy your above mobile phone or send the replacement for the same immediately.

in this situation u can't view the number and u cant answer the call. But u can disconnect that call.

3.IMEI number is in the mobile back side and if i dail *#06# for IMEI number in mobile are not matching.
4.If i set wallpaper from memory card sometimes its automatically setting default one.
5.Some times mobile hangs (sometimes means not in yearly once, once in a every two days)
6. If i used this mobile continuously 1 or 2 hours its behaving like a iron box.

Spice D88 Gold is the worst handset I have ever come across. The voice clarity is horrible. Voice cannot be heard on CDMA even in the quietest of surroundings. The phone book keeps getting hung up. The GSM network signal is very bad. No delivery reports on cdma. No GPRS settings. All in all a useless handset that needs to go in the bin. Pls let me know how I can contact spice. The store i bought it from gives no support. And why go for a service center when all consumers are facing the same problem. I appeal to spice to kindly refund the amounts paid by all consumers and recall this product for further research.

Spice Mobile — software fault with in two month after purchase

I have purchase spice m6800 on date 16 june 2011 Invoice no s11 3194 IMEI :[protected] After two month its software crupt/any problem due to this I am very suffer because i can not bought new phone Costmer care submit this phone on date 22/8/11.But I do not know when my phone would repair .Please help me.
