On an emergency I have admitted my wife in hospital on 12.02.2024. Due to non availability of Star health ID card, I am unable to avail cashless treatment at City Hospital, Kakinada, which is network hospital for Star Health. I have shown the soft copy of policy, which is active, the name of wife in policy document to the person dealing with health insurance admissions in City hospital, Kakinada, but he refused to accept cashless treatment. She is hospitalized for more than 24 hours. Though I have an active health insurance policy, I have to pay hospital bill above Rs.9000/- .
I am a customer for Star Health for more than a decade. But, now for using in emergency situation, the Star Health Insurance policy has not served the purpose. Of course, present scene, it is around Rs.10, 000/-.
But, in case of emergency and and I have to met expenses on high side, the health insurance is use less. I can not rely on Star Health. Then, it is useless to continue the health insurance policy with star health. Since then, I have raised several grievances with ticket numbers #10445565, #10403202
Under the above circumstances, it is requested that, as the policy renewed in one month back, and more than 10 months to go, please cancel the useless policy and refund the premium immediately.
I am posting this grievance in social media and consumer forums also. An early action is solicited.
