State Bank Of India [SBI] — account transfer neglected by sbi

I have been trying for my sb account transfer from 30th-dec and till not have no clue what is happening. Nobody from sbi seems to be responding. I have posted all the documents needed for transfer along with the account transfer form. There is no confirmation as to if they have even received the post, when will the account be transferred etc. Most of the numbers given in sbi site dont work or nobody picks up the call. To my surprise, even the "grievances redressal cell" calls are not picked by any. What is the point in giving such number in the website, when they do not even want to pick up the call?? Even the mail-ids they have given are for name sake. Nobody even responds to mails. I wrote a mail to sbm245, chamarajpet, agmcustomer. [protected]@sbi.co.in and the only reply i got to this was asking which branch did i post the documents to. Which omnly shows that they have not even read my mail properly. I had clearly mentioned the branch details. There is no contact number for me to call up and not feasible for me to travel to home branch, which is 300kms from where i stay now. The local branch is not even willing to talk. The manager at local branch - bhadravati is like "do we have to teach you everything?" which means they expect us to get the account transferred without the help of bank? Digital india is nit just customers switching to digital means of transactions its also service provider switching to digital means. Wonder if someone from sbi even looks at this. Nodal office numbers are of no use too. Nobody picks up calls on that number. What kind of customer service is given by sbi?

It was a struggle of more than one month to get the account transferred. Only wish this was handled properly by the home branch and the branch where the application was given, instead of involving nodal officer/Grievances Redressal Cell or the https://www.consumercomplaints.in

Now that the account is transferred, the same ill treatment and rude behavior of the branch officials continue at Bhadravati branch(IFSC code: SBIN0011335)

Today when we went to bhadravati branch, bank officials were not ready to co-operate with us in anyway. Even withdrawing the cash was a struggle. We keep our money at bank, not for bank people to own it and stop it from withdrawing when we want. Initially they denied to give the cash saying the signature dint match. I have had similar experiences in other banks, when they feel the signature doesn't match, they ask us to sign couple of more times infront of them, ask for ID proof and once they are convinced its the account holder who is withdrawing the money, they give us the cash. But wonder why SBI is so rude. They directly denied to give us the money. When asked what to do now, they said "we are not going to tell what to do". Seriously?? Isn't it part of their work to help their customers? After couple of arguments, they gave the cash.
We had already registered for internet banking and only a form had to be filled up at the branch to enable it. I was not even given that form nor was I told what to do. They were not even ready to listen what we were saying regarding internet banking registration. It was very very rude behavior of the bank employee.

And finally, we asked bout ATM card, they said they would send it in 15 days or a months time. I am surprised it takes so much time to get the ATM card.
So basically the funda is, open an account in SBI. put your money there and its stuck there. because they will not give you ATM, they will deny to give cash saying the signature doesn't match and they will not even enable internet banking for you. While the private banks have been so polite and co-operative dealing with customers, SBI still thinks its not their headache to deal with customers. Basically they dont want to do anything but get the salary.

Anyways, all said and done, I want to know what needs to be done next. I can not under go this kind of mental stress and tension everytime I have to goto the branch for whatever reason. Is there anything from this mail that gets conveyed to the branch? Will there be any action taken against bank employees for being so rude and for ill-treating us and not helping us with required info? I guess they are not aware of RTI. They have to realize and understand that every customer has right to get answers to whatever question he/she has related to his/her account.

I will also write to RBI and post the complete incident. This can not go on everytime I visit the branch. I am also thinking of filing an harassment case against the bhadravati branch. This truly was a mental harassment for us for last one month, not being able to draw money, account not being transferred and when finally it was done, I was denied the cash.

I would be interested in knowing if any action will be taken against this branch. And would be happy to see a smooth transaction next time I visit the branch.

I got my loan transferred from pnb housing to sbi recently, now all of a sudden I see a charge named ' debit adjustment - property insurance' of 38, 250. What is this? I already have an insurance on property from sbi life insurance. This is cheating, I am not informed about any such charges. Please help.
