Dear Sir,
1) I, S.Balarama Murty, customer of State Bank of India for 10 years, received phone calls and SMS that I am eligible for a credit card, which only selected customers in the branch are entitled to. I was told that branch Manager has selected me among many account holders in the branch. This offer will close in a month from now (Received phone call around October/November 2020). When approached the branch in December 2020, I was directed by service manager to Mr Rajesh. He explained the features of the card orally, took my details and got my details entered into the system by another employee working on PC. He told me that “I have the option to purchase Rs 5, 000/- worth items from any of the 5 shops. I can collect Rs 5000 gift vouchers from Branch Manager”. I applied for Card on 15.12.2020 and received assurance that I shall receive it within 15 days, but I received it around 23.01.2021.
2) When I called him next time and informed him that I have not received the gift vouchers, he assured me that I shall receive the vouchers in the form of SMS within 15 days. But, I have not received.
3) So, I contacted customer care through email in July 2021. They did not bother to check the monthly bills paid by me and asked for Annual fee payment details. They asked for annual fee in the 1st bill itself and I paid before the due date, i.e. on 28.2.2021. 4) When I visited the SBI branch on 23.10.2021, they directed me to a nearby SBI branch(PBB, MVP Colony, Visakhapatnam) to meet Mr Murali for the gift vouchers. When I contacted Mr Murali, outsourcing employee, he took my phone no. and when I asked, gave me another phone no. When I called the no. issued, one lady lifted the phone and spoke roughly to contact the person who issued the phone no.
5) I contacted SBI, Muvvalavanipalem Branch, Visakhapatnam again on 6.11.2021 regarding compensation for the bad experience I faced from SBI cards. No employee in the branch uses SBI credit cards and no one has any information about the Credit Cards. Branch Manager wondered that he took SBI Credit Card 10 years ago and returned it within a month as he was charged Rs 500 for Rs 100 withdrawal from ATM.
6) I also came to know that SBI Cards is a private company with the name “SBI Cards and Payment Services Limited”.

7) So, the solution to the problem is not solved by SBI till 2.11.2021, i.e. a delay of 232 days. SBI cards is charging heavily on the customer for late payment of credit card bill at an interest rate of 3.5 % per month. I asked for a compensation of additional Rs 5, 000/- gift vouchers. But, customer care and nodal officer are not offering any compensation despite the lapses from SBI cards end.
8) As of now, I have not opted the Rs 5000 gift voucher for a particular shop among the 5 options provided by SBI. They have not given the addresses of the shops to me despite my request a week ago.
Please give me directions to the above problem and help me in receiving the compensation at least Rs 5000/-.
