I use Sun direct DTH SD service. Recently I got an error message says that "Smart card failure". I called the customer care and they created the complaint (SR[protected] and assigned the technician. The technician has called and enquired about the issue and he said it is required to change the complete setup box even if the smart card doesn't works. There is no smart card stock available though he forced me to change the setup box. But I denied and asked for the smart card. Technician has closed the request without providing the solution. Later I got call from Customer care asking for the feedback and I informed the case. They said will create one more complaint. But they didn't do that.
Later I called customer care for the support and requested to assign a different technician to resolve this, rather than the previously assigned technician those who resolve the complaint by not even checking the equipment. But the same technician has assigned again.
He called me and repeated the same words even without checking the equipment. I denied again his service.
My question is why sun direct cannot provide the Smart card after they sell the product to customer. They claim that they stop manufacturing smart card type set up box, so they cannot provide the Smart card.
As a service provider they should provide the after service and spare parts.
If not this is violation of consumer rights.
I Request to create a formal complaint on this and provide the refunding for that days the service was not available and for the time I lost to follow up this case.
