Sunflame Enterprises — Complaint of glass cooktop | |||
I purchased one gas stove of granito 3 burner model from your distributor m/s jain polyplast, wz - 46, raj nagar, mahrauli road, palam colony, new delhi - 110045 on 30.10.14 against invoice no. 7510. Last week, while cooking, there was a sound from the gas stove and we found that some glass pieces from the gas stove came out and scattered. We immediately switched off the stove and tried to check what happened. We found that glass top of the stove was cracked, may be out of heat. Same day we contacted the distributor personally. He lodged the complaint with the company and assured us that a person would visit us soon. Within 3-4 days, a person visited us. He said there is no guarantee of glass top and same can only be repaired at our cost. Sir, i agree, that as per guarantee card, the company do not cover damage to glass items of the stove, but you will appreciate that people buy sunflame brand because of their faith in the brand and after sale services assured by the company. Otherwise glass top stoves of local make are available in the market at half the price of sunflame. Local make stoves also carry same guarantee. We replaced our traditional stove with this modern looking sunflame glass top because of it's look and assumed reliability. But if it's top has such a short life than what was the use to replace already working stove with this good looking stove? I feel this is a manufacturing defect and should be considered seriously by the company in order to maintain our faith in the company in future also. I request the company to examine our case and if they find that the damage is not because of our negligence and mishandling than please arrange to replace the defected part of our stove at the earliest and oblige us. I have sent registered mail also to the company, but no reply has come so far.
