Sunflame Enterprises — sunflame gas stove model 4b hob abnormal function and irresponsible service | |||
I have purchased sunflame gas stove model 4b hob, during january, 2018 with 1 year warranty, and after warranty period the stove was having problem of suddenly puts flame in the air above 1 feet from the burner. I complained the same to service center and they attended the call on[protected] and the technician visited said that due to choking of food particles it will happen like that and cleaned the burner and told that upto 30 days if any problem reoccurs they will do free service. Again after 1 week of service, the problem of burning flame in the air above the burner which spreads upto 1 feet around and making dangerous environment for explosion. I have the same issue to the service center to re-look into the issue and sensitivity of the problem, they have not taken it seriously until i escalated the issue over whatsapp (+[protected] to their manager, who promised and send the technician again on[protected], this time also the technician cleaned the stove externally and told the problem is resolved. Again when we started using we noticed that the problem is still continuing and occurs randomly during usage. I sent an message to manager in whatsapp which is as below on[protected]: Quote: Sir, this is bring to your notice that in spite of two services the problem still continues, the gas stove burner abnormally caughts flames in the air which is very dangerous for the person cooking. Your service people came twice to rectify the problem but it not solved, (First service done on[protected] and second service done on[protected] i am enclosing the service call sheet. I am left with no option, other than to approach consumer forum, for the negligence and improper service which does not resolve the problem and seriousness of the accident due to burner problem. Before taking up the issue with the consumer forum, i taught to inform you. Unquote: For the above message manager responded as below: Sir, Sorry for the inconvenience caused, we will resolve the problem on a priority basis. And he sent another technician who tried to open the stove but unable to do so and told that it appears some internal part may be defective and to replace the same it may cost nothing less than rs.4, 000 to rs. 5, 000 and depending on the no o[censored]nits defective which may go upto 4 times. He told full assessment will be given once the stove is opened at their service center and he told that he will arrange a standby and call us so that we need to take the stove to their service center. Since we do not have a standby i asked him can we use the stove till the standby provided, he told yes you can use without any problem. On[protected], as a preventive measure we are not using the burner which is having the problem. But while cooking, a big bang happened and wide spread flames aroused in the kitchen, my wife ran outside the kitchen to protect herself. After recovering from the shock we removed the gas stove and kept in the store and purchase a new gas stove. Taking into consideration of the above, i would like to submit the following: 1) is the model sunflame 4 hob model is safe to use or not 2) how can sunflame sell such inferior and dangerous product to customer and provide service with such irresponsible technicians who dont know how to repair the stove. 3) to have a look on all the models of sunflame model gas stove whether they are fit to use as per the guidelines of the home appliance usage, especially inflamable appliances. 4) i would like to file a case with compensation and relief for rs.50, 000/- due to negligence caused by sunflame which may cost the life of my family.
