Some o[censored]s work from home due to Covid and we also work in shifts so that we can co-ordinate with our US clients. However, from the past 6 days every night there has been a complete power shut down and comes back only in the morning by 6.30 or 7.00 pm.

While we truly understand that this shut down may have been warranted due to the climatic conditions, but the problem here to understand is that not the whole night does the climate go wrong every single time. As of yesterday its 7th night we have no power from around 11.30 pm to 6.30 or 7 am. We are living in an advanced world and the competitions are high, the customer service expectations are very high at our work. Once or twice we can get back to client and tell them about power cuts due to bad weather, but not regularly.

I humbly request our Superintendent to please understand our issues and to direct the respective authorities not to turn off power every night.

After all we are people who are in middle class and have families. If we loose our jobs, despite being well educated we do not have many options other than having to go to plains. And neither can we afford 30 to 40K to invest on a battery and invertor.

I am sure that the learned officer would definately understand our grevience and help us accordingly.

    Refund for wrong payment

    I have paid Rs 6768 online for new connection on[protected], but my application got cancelled, mentioning( Application Cancelled-Field verification wrongly registred domestic service Instead of Temparaury supply. )
    JE called me and informed we are cancelling the application, the payment made against the application will be refunded in two days but still my refund have not proceed, visited the EB office the...

        Hi,
        This is my consumer number [protected] . I have not been in the home for last 6 months . When I left the house I turned off the EB main inside home .

        I m not sure how I get the EB bill of 2000 Rs for the month of October 2020.

        No one in the house, No Electricity usage for last 6 months .

        Please cancel this bill, I can't pay this amount including the fine that's due now .

          I have wrongly issued a cheque and it got dishonoured. I was asked to make the online payments for next 3 bills and told it will get activated after 3 payments. But I made 4 payments thru online and also gave a letter but still it has not got activated. Kindly activate my account to make cheque payment for my EB bill for the SC.No.[protected]

            Residence in annanagar West thriumangalam soundarya colony current is not there from morning 5:30am and it sustain till now (8:00 am) dated 18.11.2020. We called to enquire the annanagar West complaint number [protected] continuously refusing the calls. Having a 2 year old baby in house it's really too hard to stay.

                  Dear sir/mam,
                  I have filed a complaint that power has lost only in my house. We don't have water too. I have got the line man number and called him. He haven't responded yet and haven't fixed the issue. I am not even getting proper response from our EB office. Can you please take appropriate action and help us to get the issue fixed?

                    Filed complaint online portal Comp ID [protected] on 28/10/2020 Received email that meter will be replaced shortly. Till date meter not changed. Contacted 1912 and Valasaravakkam EB on phone. informed that the do not deal with such complaints. We are asked to give a complaint in writing and hand over in person to EB Officials

                    I am 70 years old and the EB office is nearly 4 km from my residence
                    In this pandemic I do not want to move out.

                    The meter got struck up due to frequent voltage fluctuations on that date

                      Electric post at perumal koil street opp venkateswara high school posing a big danger to the public, the post may break into two and may down at anytime. Already new post are unloaded in that street before a year and that new post lying on side of the road also a threatening to the two wheeler. Pls look into the seriousness at the earliest before something happen.

                                I am resident of Subramani Street, Divyadas Nagar, Pozhichalur Chennai 600074. One electric pole situated near 116A, Subramani Street, Divyadas Nagar, Pozhichalur (near residence of Janakiammal, handicapped woman) and another one situated on way to Adi Dravidar school in same street, are heavily twisted due to which there is heavy voltage fluctuation in this street, damaging high end electric appliances and very frequent power cuts with longer restoration time.

                                Complaints made to AD Pammal has not given any results. Hence requesting to kindly pass on instructions to authorities concerned to rectify the same immediately especially as it's now monsoon season.
