Tamil Nadu Electricity Board [TNEB] — Complaint | Incorrect Meter Reading | Not rectified

I have received wrong meter reading of 1070 units for the Sep-Nov cycle when the actual unit consumed is around 400 units, the same has been reported to the respective TNEB office multiple times and have submitted multiple letters dated Dec 4th and Dec 29th, but the response from the officials has been very disappointing and reading is still not rectified till date.

Everytime I have visited the office and requested a timeline for the solution to the problem, I have been told that they have submitted the letter to higher officials and they have no idea about the timeline by when the meter reading will be rectified in the system. Officials have also asked me to pay the excessive amount as per the incorrect reading and the same will be adjusted in future readings until the meter reaches the incorrect units recorded, which is absolutely unacceptable.

I have even missed my due date for the payment since the meter reading is still not rectified even after 1 month of my first complaint, this has also resulted in a penalty on the payment I will have to make. I am absolutely disappointed and feel mentally harassed for going around to get this problem solved for the past one month.

Please address this problem at the earliest.
