I am from kumarapalayam, namakkal dt. my residence eb service number is [protected]. my consumption bill used to be around rs. 300 plus. but i was given a bill to be paid before 15th june to the value of rs. 1978/ why is this? no reading was taken due to covid lock down. understood, but should have been done? i should have been asked to pay the last bill. then as per directions i sent the reading by whats app. no response till now. again the same sms was sent to me the day before yesterday. what is the logic in asking me to pay the bill amount of may 2019? we are in 2021. my complaint fell on deaf years as usual. when my neighbour went for redressal, no was there and the simple reply, "the bill is computerised and you should pay". are we in a democracy or autocracy? no official communication is given to the consumers at all. since today being the last day, i was forced to pay. there is no reason as to why we had to pay this much money, when we are reeling under financial strain as private firm employees... also i sent a mail to cm's grievance redressal cell two days before.
