Tamil Nadu Electricity Board [TNEB] — overcharged bill amount due to delay in meter reading

Consumer no.[protected]... The last bill which i paid for the period from 19.06.17 -19.08.17 for 910 units was 4486. This time i reduce my consumption to the barest minimum by puting lot of care and effort as my assessment date was 19.10.17. My meter reading was 470 units on 19.10.17 for assessment period of two months i. E 19.08.17-19.10.17 thereby in lower rate per unit slab but to my sheer dismay the meter reading was done on 23.10.17 i. E delay of 4 days resulting in the jump of my total units to 530 units from 470 units thereby putting me in higher slab. Therefore my bill stand for rs 1978 instead of around rs 900. I am unable to understand why should a consumer suffers this loss for the negligent delay on the part of tneb staff. You are requested to make good the loss done to me by adjusting my electricity bill accordingly. Thanks
