Recently I got a postpaid connection from Tata Docomo ([protected]) and while I submitting the forms I strictly told the people at the showroom that no VAS should be activated. Despite that they activated caller tune and charged 279 rupees in my first bill. I contacted customer service but they were adamant that it was activated by me. Felt cheated, I requested for cancellation. Two days later, a customer service executive called again which was attended by my 12 year old daughter. This idiot simply changed the plan and closed my cancellation request as "customer accepted to change the plan and continue." When I contacted again, they said it is still active and again I requested for cancellation. For more than 10 days, someone will call me and enquire why I am cancelling. After hearing all, they simply say they can't do anything. Finally, one person called and asked what happened and again I explained to him and asked for proof that I activated the caller tune. After some time, he said there is no proof. I got angry and told him to cancel the number immediately or I will have to take legal action. Now I have closed the number by paying full amount. Also, I have ported two prepaid connections of Tata to Idea belonging to my father-in-law and spouse. Tata loses because of this type of cheating.
