Tata Docomo — Changed billing date and then charged me extra for booster pack.

The customer care rep accepted their mistake and just changed the email content in his next email, yet refused to pay back for the booster pack (Rs 400/-). What company accepts it's fault yet makes the customer pay for their mistakes. As a public company it should be responsible and pay for it;s own and it's employees mistakes. I received the below email today stating that billing cycle has commenced on May 1st 2015. My internet stopped working last night. I called customer care for help they could not help. I bought a booster pack to get high speed connectivity and then I received this email saying my connectivity has been restored to high speed as of My 1st. When called customer service to refund the booster pack as the transaction happened just a few minutes before I received the below email. The customer service started an argument with me saying that the billing cycle starts on the 3rd and I must pay for the booster pack. He also said that the email I received from Tata is wrong, I should follow what he says on the phone. Why should I take a verbal communication as correct over a written communication. India provides customer service for the rest of the modern world, yet the customer care for Indian citizens is "Best of the Worst" Please resolve this at your earliest. Thank you.
