[Resolved] Tata Docomo — Data Pack not being activated | |||
his is to bring your attention that i have been sold a Postpaid Connection of TATA DOCOMO by one of TATA DOCOMO DSA "Samay Associates" based in bhopal, during the call the sales executive told me the features of the "bill plan 325_Loc+Nat_1200MinsMnthlyRntl" and when i asked for data pack applicable the executive told me that there is no data bundeled but i am free to add on any postpaid data pack available from Rs. 50 per month. I asked this executive to get me the Rs. 50 Per month data pack bundled with this plan and gave him permission to move my number from pre to post, he told me that an executive from "Samay Associates"will follow up and will collect the amount required (INR 350) to activate the postpaid connection, the executive came at my office after around 3 days and collected INR Rs 350 form me and gave me the SIM, i asked him the same thing that i want Rs 50 data pack activated on my phone and he told me that once connection is activated i should call tata docomo customer care and they will apply the data pack and i will be able to use the data pack. I inquired regarding the data pack after the activation and i was told that if i take the data pack i will be charged for whole bill cycle and not on prorate basis, so i told them that i will get the data pack activated on the first day of bill cycle, on my first bill found that i am given 100 MB data free for 2 Months, so i didn't felt need to get the data pack in the second month too. In the third month when i requested to get the data pack activated i was told that my plan is not eligible for the data pack i need, and this has never been told to me at the time of selling the Post paid connection, i checked the TATA DOCOMO website and its written repeatedly and clearly on the Mobile Internet link (http://www.tatadocomo.com/mobile-internet.aspx#disTextdump) that packs are available with all post pay plans, see the points below : 1:The aforementioned Data packs are available with all post pay plans . 2:These plans will be applicable for all post pay customers except Blackberry customers. 3:All the above packs will be available to Tata DOCOMO subscribers on Tata DOCOMO Home and Tata DOCOMO roaming network only. 4:The above mentioned packs are applicable on all APN’s except Dongle APN. I sent the same info to appellate.[protected]@tatadocomo.com along with the proof (screenshot of their website) and from them i am getting the same reply, my grievance is why i was not told first hand that i will not get this internet pack, i will never have switched from prepaid connection to post-paid. This is a fraudulent practice on TATA DOCOMO's end to give wrong information to customer and this has made me suffer mentally and monetarily as i need to put my valuable time and efforts to deal with such crook company, i am not going to accept this fraudulent behaviour and your reply where i am regularly told that my postpaid plan is not eligible for the requested data pack, i have been asked to subscribe to higher rental 3G packs which i do not require, i am not going to stop here and will bring attention of authorities and general public to this act of fraud by TATA DOCOMO by putting it online and sending this email conversation to concerned authorities and will not hesitate in taking this matter to consumer court if required.
