I am an Retired Defence Services Officer, Wing Commander V Ganesan(Retd) of IAF.
Two weeks back, one sales rep of your company Mr Madasamy with mobile number([protected]) approached me for marketing youe mobile and internet connections. Based on his words, I agreed to do a mobile portability of my BSNL post paid connection([protected]) to tatadocomo 899 (unlimited local+2G data plan). And was planning to take an internet dongle.
As per his advise, I paid him on 02 Jun 15, Rs 950 (Rs 850 deposit+Rs 50 for Sim + Rs 50 for protability charges). On the same day, the porting UPC was taken (BT243433) and he noted the details. He collected the filled application, Aadhar card copy, Ration card copy and photo. He asked me to pay the left over BSNL bill till that date with additional Rs 30 to BSNL office so that porting will be done by 5 days time. Accordingly, I visited BSNL commerical office and paid the balance bill with additional Rs 34 on 04 Jun 15 and informed them of my intended porting to tatadocomo. They noted the same.
On 05 Jun 15, Mr Madasamy gave me a new sim and told that, the old sim will get de-activated and new sim will start working for next day. When I asked for the bill for Rs 950. He told, it is in office and he will handover to me on 06 Jun 15.
Till date, neither the old sim has got de-activated nor the new sim is activated. For the last four days, Mr Madasamy is dodging in giving me the bill for Rs 950 and also he is not answering to my calls. After many unsuccessful attempts, finally, Mr Madasamy answered my call today morning and he is telling the he is away at his native and he is not in a position to tell the status of mobile connectivity. Again tried Coimbatore office of tatadocomo, no one is ready to listen to the issue.
It appears to me that, I am being cheated financially as well mentally. Earlier on two occasions I had the experience of mobile number porting at Delhi and Bangalore. I never faced such situations. Is this the norm followed by your company and staff?
Kindly enquire into the issue and either instruct your coimbatore office to return me the deposit Rs 950 or get the new connection activated and provide me the bill for Rs 950/-.
Because of your company and unreliable staff, I struck with the situation of not able to make calls from the existing BSNL number to avoid billing issue.
When approached your customer care, they are not taking any complaint stating that the details are incomplete. Why this situation? If this is the condition while taking the new connection, what will be the condition in future?
